I have a 2006 toyota tundra SRT 4.7 need to replace the belt and was looking at the complete kit, what is the best choice

Hello there. I have a 2004 TRD 4.7 and am assuming you need to replace the timing belt. The serpentine belt is much different. I do not know if they are the same engine so just double check. But Yes, this kit came with everything I needed to change the timing belt along with the water pump and pulleys. The only thing it does not come with is a small tube of gasket sealant for the upper water pump connection. There isn't a rubber or cork gasket, you have to make one with the proper gasket sealant. Its not difficult, you just squeeze it along the edge and give it 24 hrs but you will definitely need it. Otherwise the kit is very comprehensive. I have not had any issues with any of the components and its been 3 or 4 years now. Good Luck!

Hi What brands are the timing belt and water pump? I assume timing belt is Mitsubishi, and water pump is Aisin, but the info is not in description.

It's an Aisin kit, so presumably, it's an Aisin water pump (the original, OEM Toyota water pump that came off of my Land Cruiser - I've always been told original Toyota water pumps are made by Aisin - was free of any identifying marks, just like the Aisin pump that came in my TKT-021 kit. Therefore, since the kit was put together by Aisin and is listed on their website, that lead me to believe it's an Aisin-brand pump. Also, the timing belt is a Mitsuboshi (yes, that's the correct spelling, so I have to assume there's no connection to Mitsubishi).Bottom line: since this is a kit specified by Aisin on their website, and since it comes with Koyo bearings and an NTN tensioner, I was comfortable Aisin had put together a premium kit, and that's why I chose to go with this kit over any other brand.

Will this kit work with my 2004 4.7l v8 4runner? also, is this a complete kit with everything included?

This is a complete kit, it has everything you need to do the job. I cant say whether it will fit your 2004. I used this kit on my 2005 Tundra, everthing worked just fine.

It is recommended on the 2001 Tundra to change the timing belt at 75k miles and not to extend beyond 100k miles. I am interested in why the water pump and the timing belt are in one kit. Does the water pump commonly fail at mileages similar to the timing belt?

The reason for changing the water pump during the timing belt job is not water pump failure.... It is because the water pump is behind the timing belt. It takes about $500 of labor to access the $50 water pump. As long as you are doing (almost all) of that same labor to access the timing belt, you might as well do the water pump while you have it open.
