Biblical herbs hyssop
This product is amazing. The seasoning tastes like no other spice or herb. All veggies, meat or chicken I've used this on makes it better. Recommend it.

nice spice blend option
love throwing a bunch of cherry tomatoes in a blender, pouring boiling water in & shaking in some blended herb/spice/seasoning. particularly love just mccormick's italian seasoning which is simply marjoram, basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, savory, & sage - note no salt. this with or without one fresh basil leaf is just the best tomato soup you're ever going to have - fresh & aromatic. having established that, i thought i would experiment with other spice blends in same so-called recipe.i had had a divine offering at a middle eastern restaurant that was something bready - in the region of pita/pizza/lavash - with loads of what they called zaatar dumped over it & roasted. amusingly looks like a dirt pizza. so thought i would try a zaatar blend. note variant spelling abound (za'atar, zaat'ar, zahtar, for starters) as well as variant definitions & constituents.i tried 2, liked both, & they were different enough that there is no reason to direct compare them. (other is USimplySeason Za'atar - roasted sesame seeds, thyme, sumac, oregano, marjoram - no salt). this one's ingredients are listed as hyssop (majorana syriacal), sesame, elm-leaved sumach, lemon acid, salt. it is earthy & pungent & was an excellent option in my delicious simple tomato soup. it is listed as kosher, if that interests you (other isn't).interesting mechanical detail. i observed the lid & thought it clever. it has a smooth-gliding rotation that has 3 options to hover over a punched out hole. 3 holes, 4 holes, 1 full-sized. i was enamored of it until i tried to use it. the seasoning is clumpy & even the largest hole 11/16" in largest dimension requires significant shake force to get it out. other options just don't work. i assume the company sells other seasonings & this is their standard arrangement.

A little goes a long way
A little is better where this spice is concerned. Don't overdo it and it is really good. If you overdo the spice it is so overpowering.
