Tuning Forks: The Musical Mystery in My Drawer
So, I bought a set of United Scientific Octave Tuning Forks. Why? Good question. At first, I thought they were part of a high-tech dining set. Spoiler: they're not great with peas.Realizing my musical ignorance, I embarked on a series of fork-related misadventures. I attempted to tune my shower singing – the forks were not impressed. I played 'guess the resonance of household items' – turns out, nothing in my house hums at G-384 Hz, much to my disappointment. In a moment of inspiration, I used them as impromptu drumsticks, only to learn that kitchen pots don’t appreciate fine tuning. And when I tried conducting an imaginary orchestra, my dog just stared, questioning my life choices.Through it all, I found a strange joy in their pure tones. It's like having a science experiment and a stress reliever all in one, with a little fine tuning, I should reach Nikolas Tesla's understanding of and find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibrationIn short, the United Scientific Octave Tuning Forks have turned my confusion into a quirky hobby. Four stars for these unexpectedly amusing metallic maestros. They haven't made me a musician, but they sure have struck a chord of fun!

Good Starter Set! 😃
I get good sound from this set. It’s a great starter set and I will use it in my wellness practice. I labeled the set to know what tuning fork goes to which charka.

get what you pay for
These are fine for a class or to play but they are not tuned exactly to pitch the box is cheaply made and the hammer is well very poor will unscrew if not careful the ends of forks are sharp

Fine for a science class, unsuitable for tuning musical instruments
I own an A and an E tuning fork for tuning my guitar, but I've always wanted to own forks for the other strings, D, G, and B. This set of tuning forks contains those notes, as well as some others (including the E and the A for a guitar). Unfortunately, if you tuned a guitar or any other instrument with these forks, you would have an instrument that sounds terrible due to being out of key. That's because these forks are out of key. My two-star rating does not accurately reflect the usefulness of these forks depending on what you're using them for. If you're needing forks just to make sound for teaching a science class, these forks would be excellent. They come in a nice wooden case to keep them organized and they make plenty of sound. Unfortunately, if you're looking to tune a musical instrument such as a guitar, a ukalele, a violin, or some other instrument, pass on these tuning forks. These will not help you to get the instrument into standard tune. I'm giving this two stars, but really my rating would be split -- 5 stars if you're using them for a science class, no stars if you're tuning a musical instrument.
