Highly recommended by a fellow working illustrator
I LOVE these pens. Why didn't I know about them ages ago? I don't know. But I am making up for lost time by buying these regularly, and I recommend them to other illustrators often. They're responsive, long lasting, they produce a dark line... They're perfect for what I do. (Cartoony stuff for publication)Not sure why "for beginners, value for money, and easy to hold" are the criteria for judging these pens.Sure -- they're for beginners. And for longtime professionals, like me (40+ years as a working illustrator and designer. I have made money on cartoons, calligraphy, fine art, and my own published books which you can find in almost any library in US -- and in bookstores, schools, and libraries at least 10 other countries.)Sure, they're top value for the money. But that isn't how I judge an art pen. It's all about the line.Sure, they are easy to hold. They're the normal size and weight of a pen. If you have a normal size human hand, these will be easy to hold.Your money will *not* be so easy to hold, though. If you're like me you will want to keep buying more of these pens. They are worth every penny.

Tombow Fude Hard- the BEST out there
It's Tombow! This brand has built up an incredible reputation and their fude pens most definitely live up to the hype! If you have a heavy hand, or are a beginner in hand lettering, these are the brush lettering pens for you! I have bought this set multiple times, because I'm constantly giving them away to friends & family that are interested in learning hand lettering, giving them as gifts, and just spreading the joy they can bring (at the risk of sounding cheesy) because they are simply the BEST when it comes to hand lettering, drawing, and writing.

Ink dries up quickly :(
I recieved these pens on April 7th. I used one of them once in my journaling Bible and it worked great. However, I haven’t touched them since, and tried using one today and all 3 of them are completely dried up. They’ve been sitting upside down in a pen holder on my desk, not exposed to heat or cold temps, and it’s really disappointing that I can’t use them now.

Not what I expected
I really had high expectations for these pens. I am new to handlettering- which is obvious in attached pic. I have been playing around with it for a while and had read that these pens are great for beginners. I got them today and busted them out and was frustrated right away. As you can see, the ink flow is that of a marker that is getting ready to run out of ink. It didn't improve much upon using a couple more times. I am not sure if I just got a dud set, or if this is standard, but I would say that there might be better options out there for you :)

Better After Use
I am changing my review. These worked better after I used them for a while. I am so used to fineliners that I was afraid that with too much pressure I would ruin the tip. But for me, these need a little more pressure at the beginning in order to make them more flexible and brushlike. I am liking them better now and appreciate the size and control they offer my hand lettering practice.(First Review)These are NOT brush pens at all. They are just a fine point pen. I'm so bummed. 😞

Fabulous! Good for a beginner
This is my go to pen when warming up, practicing, or trying something new. I learned on this one and love the quality, sturdiness and the lasting power of the pen.

Love them
I could write for hours about this brush pens. The best for beginners and I just wish I could afford to buy more. Even though thos ones have a nice amount of ink in them I ran out too fast because I use them so much. If you're interested in modern calligraphy, this are great to start with and to keep going...

Meine Lieblingsstifte
Ganz toll!
