Starlight 4K 8MP Poe IP Camera with Low-Illumination Built-in Mic, 98ft Night Vision, IVS, H.265, SD Card Slot, WDR, 3D DNR, IP67, Ultra 4K CCTV Security IP Camera

I'm NOT impressed with the "Starlight" in this eyeball camera. I have another Starlight that is a branded Dahua recessed PTZ (52C230UNI-A) and the night vision at 10PM is still color; even when the front house lights are off. This camera simply looks like it's IR night vision (black/white) and when I go outside to view the camera... there are two small red IR lights at the bottom.From my experience, I think this seller has incorrectly identified this a "Starlight" as the camera I received doesn't display the color night vision like in their pictures.In both attached pictures, the front house lights are OFF; however the landscape lighting is on. This camera is located up on the porch and you can see one of the landscape lights on. This camera simply cuts from day time color to night time IR - same time as my other non-starlight cameras cut over to IR.I've looked through all the settings... the only thing I've found is call illuminator. When I change the illuminator option from Auto to Off to Manual... the picture (at night) is really dark. This porch picture is with the "illuminator" in the Auto position.NOTE: If you look at the picture captured from this eyeball camera... you can see the truck, which is also pictured in the capture from the other camera (52C230UNI-A).I'm considering returning this... as I don't consider this to be "Starlight Technology"... and might be borderline deceptive marketing.

The media could not be loaded.  This security camera has amazing video quality. The night vision is crystal clear and I absolutely love that I can view the camera right on my phone so easily. The setup and installation was so easy and it did not take long at all. You can easily move the camera to get better views. I love the audio effect so I can speak through the camera and anyone can hear me. Which can easily scare an intruder or I can speak to my family. Awesome price and value for such a great quality POE camera. Very pleased and definitely recommend it.

Great night vision clear and crisp compared to the old Arecont that was a 2 MP that was IR only night vision dome. It is connected to my Milestone XProtect system and this camera supports analytics, I/O events, along with some other advanced features. It has onboard Edge recording, along with SMTP mail notification, Masking, among many other features...the interface looks like Dahua built it because of the version numbers and look of the interface. Great performance, low PoE power draw and the starlight performance is great for the price! It's not a Bosch Starlight 8000 but it works great! I would buy it again! The picture submitted is in the middle of the night and there are no street lights on this road.UPDATE: The weather resistant connector was filled with water frying the camera, awaiting replacement/response. Even tried covering it with caulk but will install it in a weather box next time.

I've owned this camera a couple of weeks and so far haven't had any issues with it. The day and night time video quality is decent for the price. I record all my video to a NVR so I can't comment on how well recording works with an SD card. Something to be aware of is You have to be a little tech savvy to set this camera up. It doesn't come with a manual and there are no easy to follow instructions to get it connected to the internet. If you need help you have to go to dahua website and browse through the cameras technical documents to get answers. If you can handle that it's a great deal.

Add this camera to a 32 channel NVR. Camera was easy to set up and functions perfectly. So far I’m impressed with this camera.

This is my first time using a 4K POE camera. I'm using it without the memory card. I have it hooked up to my dahua NVR. The NVR discovered it with no effort.The image quality is very good - much better than the 4M camera that it replaced.Night vision is good - a lot more evenly lit than my other camera.Audio works well too.

The image at night isn't the best unfortunately. But overall the quality of the camera build is good, minus the plastic push button that releases the camera from the bracket. Yes, a screw holds it in place but it still feels a little cheap. GUI is typical of a knock off camera.
