Removes Pond Odors -- Beautifully!
My pond was in bad shape because it was shallow and froze completely this winter, killing the fish. Afterward, the pond had a terrible odor and looked dirty and disgusting. After a few rains, it filled up again, but it still smelled awful and looked cloudy. I tried Pond Booster, which claimed to remove odors, restore bacteria levels to where they should be, and eliminate decaying materials. I walked around the edge of the pond, pouring a cup here and there, until about half the jug was used. (That was probably too much!) After one day, it was obvious the entire pond had turned blue, and after a few more days, the pond was simply beautiful. The smell was completely gone, and the water looked fresh and beautiful, like ocean water. I was so impressed! I highly recommend this product. It says it is safe for animals, but I kept my dogs out of the pond for several days to be sure. I'm seeing frogs down there now, (and even some snakes) so it's apparently becoming full of living creatures again. I have one warning: be sure to wear gloves when you open the jug and pour it. The dye is very dark and will stain immediately. Also wear something that you wouldn't mind getting splashed. My fingers turned blue for a few days, but the dye eventually wore off. I will buy this once a year for use once in the spring and once before winter sets in.

Cheaper than Airmax
This product seems to work just as well as Airmax at about $10 less per gallon. It definitely dyes the water just as well. The muck eating qualities are hard to measure. I have one pond that has a heavy muck buildup and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse, hard to say if it is removing much of the old muck or not.

wear gloves!
10 years ago my pond was a disaster. Algae, duckweed.... you name it. I cleaned it out twice with an excavator. it just turned to crap within a year. I invented a duckweed removal system that works perfectly. Once I cleared up the surface issues I went after the mass of weeds that always form. My 3/4 AC pond is nearly 15 ft deep. The concept of using a dye to reduce photosynthesis is not new however, which type/brand of dye used is critical. I tried several others before I used Crystal Blue. Full disclosure, I doubled the dose as I had with the other brands. Only Crystal Blue held up. OK... the water looked very blue, almost too blue, but that toned down after a while. At one point I was concerned that my white dog would turn blue if he went in the water. It didn't happen, obviously. The watercolor stabilized, the weeds never returned, and the fish started to repopulate. I'm proud of my pond. It is a major beautification object in my back yard. Constantly get compliments on its appearance. Getting ready to treat my pond this week in upstate NY. Crystal Blue...very happy with it.

1 bottle equals 2
This is a great buy. Instead of buying 2 gallons of pond chemicals. The dye and cleaner are all in one. The cleaner works great. The dye is dark blue. I have a 50 ft X 50 ft pond. Used half of the bottle this spring. Will use other half this fall. Does a nice job.

Nice dye and booster.
24 hours after application: I put in about 40 ounces in my pond. Its a little over half an acre in size. Applied it via a 1 gallon sprayer. Filled the sprayer with water almost half way and then added the pond booster. Pumped it up and then started spraying in various locations on one side of the pond. I cant get to the opposite side because of the brush. Anyway initially it turned half of the pond a dark blue color, along with the weeds. Panicked some of the fish and the turtles avoided the blue initially. Watched it slowly spread for a while then left. Next day it looked alot different. Was more green then before but expected that because of how cloudy the water in my pond has been. It has spread all through the pond though its still alot darker on the side where I sprayed it. Waiting to see how it looks next week. Will edit this and put in how its doing then. The fish and turtles seem to have settled in. Fed them and they fed normally. As in the turtles trying to hog the food. Greedy things. Got a few of the Florida Softshell in here. Big ones. A couple with shells reaching 16 inches. The water today is still cloudy. No settling out yet. But expect it to take a week before its noticeable. As I said. Will report back here in a week. Add some photos then as well.

Pretty Dye Color
Great product if you are just looking to dye your pond temporarily. Although it didn't kill off any algae, the dye did help prevent more from starting.

Colored the pond in no time!
Fast acting, smells ok. I should have worn gloves. I had smurf blue hands for 2 days. We'll see how it does for the muck on the bottom. Will update if I see any changes.
