Survived a thunderstorm
My previous umbrella bent in the wind and broke so I started looking for "wind-proof" umbrellas. I bought this one based on the reviews. It's just the right size to put in my backpack side pocket and bigger than I thought when open in full. The speed at which it opens definitely caught me off guard at first. The click to close is especially helpful when entering buildings. The umbrella got it's first real test about a week ago when I got caught in a severe thunderstorm in Chicago (gusts up to 39mph based subsequent weather info). The umbrella definitely withstood more wind than my previous umbrella and I definitely chuckled to myself when I passed other people trying to shield themselves from the rain with pieces of their broken umbrellas. My one real surprise is when I walked out from between two buildings and the change in wind direction caught and inverted the umbrellas (had a misunderstanding as to what "wind-proof" meant until I looked back at the umbrella description). Happily, I can report that the umbrella flipped back into shape and I made it to my hotel without any other problems. The umbrella quickly folded itself when I hit the button and it looks like no damage was done. As for me, while my head was dry thanks to the umbrella, I was soaked simply because it was raining in every direction and there's only so much this little umbrella could do unless I was also wearing a parka.

A great umbrella for the price!
I purchased this umbrella to replace the mini one I had previously and I am so glad I did. It does have a shorter height than I would have liked for my height and size, but it is great to throw in your bag for the days where you get caught in the rain. It is incredibly sturdy. I used it in a windy snow and rain storm (yup both at the same time) and it held up very well. The best part was the quick dry ability. Water does not stay on this umbrella at all which makes it so quick and easy to wrap up and throw back into the bag. Great price for the item.

Great small umbrella- button press to open!
My best umbrella bought in the States yet- I have had a pretty harrowing experience breaking 3 umbrellas in under a year because they were too flimsy, and had almost lost my faith in < $25 umbrellas.Along came this little umbrella. It is fairly light, fits snuggly into the side compartment of my backpack and has been incredibly reliable. I really love that it snaps open at the press of a button- ensures I can step out into the rain without getting a single drop on me.-1 star for the closing and re-opening mechanism. It is a two step process which requires you to press the button which collapses the expanse of the umbrella and then you need to manually collapse the length of the umbrella, which requires a little more force than I would like (especially given that the umbrella is dripping wet at this point). And if I ever perform the first step and want to re-open the umbrella, I first have to completely collapse and close it and then use the button again. Would have been nice if I could have just pressed the button again, but I guess the mechanism isn't wired that way.It is a pretty great umbrella though and I would probably buy it again.

Excellent umbrella, especially for the price.
I love this umbrella. Living in Kansas, rain can be weirdly sporadic, and I haven't had much need to replace my 80's era umbrella that my parents gave me in high school. I recently got back into school, and walking back and forth from campus to my car, my books and laptop getting soaked had been a major cause for concern. This umbrella is great because it covers myself and my backpack, doesn't leak at all even in heavy rain, is super light-weight, and the auto-out/in works perfectly (which is awesome when getting into your car after a trek through the wet, or getting out of your car into it). I also love the utilitarian all-black look! The handle, although small, feels great in the hand, and the entire umbrella seems very well-constructed. There is also a sleeve included, which is nice for me storing it in a backpack because I don't have to worry about anything else getting snagged on the sail.Edit: had to add that the advertising of quick drying is definitely true! I had been in the rain when I took the first couple of pictures, and the umbrella was almost completely dry about 15 minutes later when I put it back into its sleeve for the final picture.

Nice design but with too thin, flexible, and brittle metal
I bought this Umbrella after my favorite golf-size ☂️ tore in the wind tunneled in a parking garage. It is nice and compact. I have a coat pocket large enough to fit it inside and carry in case I get caught in rain I didn't see coming. I'm fine with the design, but it has lots of parts, and to save money and decrease the weight, the metal bars creating the skeleton of the structure is very thin and flexible. If you decide to buy this ☂️, keep the wrist strap on and keep it folded together as much as you can. I only dropped it once while deployed to bend the metal. Trying to bend it back only makes the metal brittle and break apart. Then the broken metal pokes through the canvas. Then trying to keep the structure together breaks the tiny threads holding onto the metal. Use your hand to put it back together. If you try to put it together on something, and it slips, you will bend the metal. Maybe I'll give my broken one to someone on the street who looks drenched in a storm and find some other wind-resistant umbrella with hopefully thicker metal.

Ease of Use!
I ordered this $9.95 as a small travel umbrella since I'm going on a long trip in the autumn where I will be doing a lot of walking (taking trains and such). It was not quite as compact as I had envisioned, but it is smaller than my other umbrellas. The single button worked incredibly well. One click and the umbrella fully deploys--no additional locking into place. Another click and the umbrella collapses. You still have to use two hands in order to stow it completely, but single button expansion and collapse to be able to go enter doorway and stuff without needing a second hand to adjust is awesome. I have only used it once in the rain, so far, and it worked as expected. Not sure if the mechanism will last over many uses, but for now it is working perfectly.
