Stereo Hi-Fi Audio Balun, Analog Audio Extender, Stereo RCA to Stereo RCA Audio Over Cat5e/Cat 6 Extender

These were purchased to solve a very unique issue with transmitting audio from a bluetooth device (using a bluetooth receiver) over long distance to a whole house audio receiver. The reason this is useful is that I can now locate the bluetooth receiver in a specific area of the house and have the audio travel over a CAT5 cable through multiple walls in the house to the multi zone receiver. I would highly recommend using very good quality RCA cables to reduce noise. I had some cheap cables that I used initially that caused a hum. So if you hear a hum noise, it may very well be related to poor quality cables.

I needed this for around a 150ft run of cat 6 and it worked great it just plugged in and it worked

I have a kind of awkward setup, but long story short - I needed to get the TV's optical output to my bedroom. Luckily, there was already an unused Cat5e cable between the two endpoints, roughly 30 meters in length I think. This extender hooked it up and did the trick!It feels solid and professional in the hand.I live in a 220V 50Hz country, and there's no issues, as long as I get a passive adaptor to plug the power supply in.The only thing I found missing is that there's no cable included. I only had one optical cable at home, but I needed two to hook this up (one at each end). Make sure you have all the cables you need, or order them together with this. The only things in the box are the transmitter, receiver, and power adaptor.This is absolutely fine though, the listing never claims to include a cable and it was inexpensive compared to other options - even if you factor in the cost of the cables.

Definitely suited my needs of eliminating a cable from hanging down the wall. Sound quality is excellent.

Very inexpensive device that works great right out of the box. Box info and packaging is misleading but once you’re past that and wire it, it’s awesome for the price

Thought that the quality metal body construction would mean a better product. Not so much. I’ve used cheaper plastic units and now these and these are noisy and introduce audible buzzing that the cheaper units do not create or pick up.

We needed a product that would bridge audio between our tv and the av cabinet. We had an extra run of cat6 so this device appeared to fit the bill. The product is made from heavy gauge metal and has the weight of a durable electronic product. The audio is high quality... same as if no bridge was used. If I had to do it again, I would go with the same product.

Just simply works you can even use this unit with only a 10 base t. Connection which was great cause I had a customer with only one cat-6 line so I was able to use the unused pairs on the cat for ir.Sound works great, very good price I would recommend
