Nice!!!!
Great reel that casts easily and capable of spooling enough line to get out to where you want to place the bait. The only problem I found was the reel cover is hard to screw back on and can easily get cross threaded. What I found that helps is to crank the reel a couple of times to disengage the reel pin. Other than that the reel is a great buy.

Its a Zebco so, it just works. Very durable, cast smoot and the drag works smoothly.

Works perfect and perfect for saltwater too.
My wife and I moved to the Chesapeake Bay and built a pier. We constantly fish off of the pier but my wife just can not use an open face reel. I bought her this Zebco 808 reel as it will not only handle the large sea trout we catch but being stainless steel really helps preserve the longevity of the reel too.

Drag won't tighten
This is the worst reel I've ever owned. I bought this so an inexperienced fisherman with me would be able to fish easily. This reel was completely useless. The drag won't tighten and it's nearly impossible to reel anything in, especially large fish, with it because the drag is so loose. I thought maybe this was just defective, so I went to Walmart and night bought another one exactly like this and guess what??? Same problem. I returned it for a spinning reel. My daughter's little $20 spincast was better use than this thing. It's a complete piece of junk. Don't buy it anywhere you see it. What are the chances that from Amazon it doesn't work and from Walmart it doesn't work?
