Love. This. Book!
Who knew Kristen Granata could step away from the emotional rollercoaster romances she slays and give us a perfect rom-com? ME! I knew the second she told me. This woman can write no wrong. And I’m not just saying that because I’m in the book. Which by the way, was so surreal and the best surprise ever. I definitely cried. All over the place.Hating the Boss was so much fun to read. It gave us everything. It was light but raw in emotion. It was empowering and heartwarming. It was sexy as hell and absolutely hilarious. The prank war was ridiculously amazing. I laughed out loud multiple times. The tension between Raegan and Jaxson ya’ll …pure fire! My girl amped up the sexy in this one. The desk scene?!? HELLO! Had my brown skin blushing! So. Freaking. Hot!But as much as I looooooved Jax and Raegan, the female friendships in this book gave me life. It was so refreshing and lovely. It made me tear up a little bit/a lot a bit. Women are so much stronger when we lift each other up whenever we fall. Female friendships are so important. Reading that strong bond between Raegan and the girls felt so authentic and it was truly beautiful. It made my heart smile. I need more romcom’s from Kristen. I need ALL the romcom’s from Kristen. This was too good. I’m obsessed and as always, in awe. She slays again!

Such a Cute and Quick Read
Tropes / Key Points:✨Contemporary Romance✨Dual POV✨Love After Divorce✨Principal/Teacher✨Enemies to LoversSpice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️Blurb:Leaving the courthouse after getting a divorce, Reagan is ready to put the last seven years of her life behind her. Andrew never treated her right. He would shame her when she cried, insult her over trivial things till she apologized, and hated when she spent time out with her friends. She tried to make it work, but realized she deserved better. Convinced to go out by her best friends, they end up at a bar to blow off so,e steam. That’s where she meets him, Jaxon, a man in a suit that looked so hot she decided to throw her inhibitions to the wind. After all, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else…right? At least until she wakes up naked the next day with no memory of being with him, so she flees while he is asleep.Jaxon just got a new job as a Principal of a school. He is trying to put his bad luck past in relationships behind him and thinks he’s off on the right foot with Reagan. Until he wakes up with her gone, having spent the night taking care of her as she got sick before anything could happen, and his late grandmother’s ring missing. It could only have been Reagan, but he has no way to contact her and thinks he’s out of luck. Imagine his surprise when he walks into a staff meeting and finds the run away sitting in the back of the room. She claims to have no knowledge of a missing ring when he confronts her, but a thief would lie wouldn’t they? This school year is going to be interesting, and despite the hatred of each other, they can’t deny the pull that exists between them.Review:This was just a cute quick little story that had an air of mystery to it.As a reader, you don’t actually know if Reagan is a thief or not. She keeps insisting she isn’t but as she couldn’t remember the night of the one night stand and was in a rush to escape the next morning, we can only take it at face value. After all, Jaxon’s reasons for thinking it’s her are sound. The book does a good job at keeping you in limbo on if she is truly the culprit until the halfway point. The twist on who stole it was unexpected and well done.I love the banter between them as they wage a war against each other. The pranks back and forth meant to tear down the others will without causing any real permanent damage were enough to get an occasional chuckle out of me. Both sides got some good hits in but I did like that the author had them call a truce. I love banter and back and forth, but I was ready to get to the falling in love portion of the story.Throughout the “enemies” portion of the book we got glimpses of the layers underneath both characters and I thought it was a great way to transition into the “lovers.” So many books I read have this hard line… this point where you can say this is where they fell in love, but this author does a great way of spreading the out. There isn’t one dedicated moment where the “love” came into play which was nicely done. Also the moment when we get to meet the sleaze that is Andrew…. Pristine, but I do wish we got a resolution there in the book. I would have liked to see him eat his humble pie. Oh well.

One night turned Enemies to Forever.
This book along with the rest of this author’s books are all very well written. This book however has a teacher boss forbidden romance but it didn’t start that way at least they didn’t know that. The enemies part is vey comedic it’s not at all dark or degrading. There are definitely some parts of this book that will stick with me for a while. The reason for the 3 stars is what mainly has to do with how the author has edited the book to fit other people’s triggers. As much as I like this author I feel that by removing some of the beginning of her referencing her divorce lacked depth and raw realness to her female main character. I’m aware it’s a short book but when both the male and female lack depth the whole book is lacking. I really wanted to give this book more credit because it was very funny and heartfelt which is what I needed to break up some other books so it does have its place and definitely worth the read If you need something quick and fun

A Great RomCom!
This felt like reading a 2000s romcom. Very funny with lovable characters and memorable scenes. I really enjoyed the pranks and the dynamic between Rae & Jax. The will they/won’t they was done well! The relationship reminded me of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. There is a nice steamy scene towards the end involving an office which was a pleasant surprise.Overall a fun romcom! Definitely worth the read. A good palate cleanser book.Rating: 4/5🌶️ Rating: 3/5

Lovely story ❤️
I've been following this author on IG for a while, but only now, I decided to finally read one of her books. I'm particular about writing style, that's why I don't read many new authors to me. Raegan & Jaxon won me over quickly. The story is funny and quick-witted, and the characters are good. There's little drama. Despite their "enemy" status, they're civil to each other, showing their true character. The story is on the slow burn side, but the way it's delivered makes the book interesting and impossible to stop from reading.
