Whirlpool GC2000XE 1/2 HP Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal

Works fine

Very nice disposal, exact size match for a 10 year old 1/3 hp Whirlpool disposal (that started to jam up regularly), so installation was a breeze with the previous PVC drain pipe under my sink. The only issues were that I wish it came with its own new power cord (I had to reuse the old one, I didn't realize it came without a new cord) and also a cord connector/clamp for the hole that it enters the chassis was also 'not included' (why not?). Maybe other brands come the same way but I wasn't expecting to have to go to the electric aisle at the hardware store to get the last part I needed.

Installed it myself... exactly as advertised. I'm happy with it.

I looked at reviews for similar disposals at many different sites over a few weeks time. This disposal had the best reviews. We were looking to replace our old insinkerator that had started to rust and smell. For the low price, this disposal has been great. Easy to install, light enough for a stainless steel sink, and quiet. We don't try and grind anything tough like bones so I can't comment on its power, but for everyday food scraps...does the job just fine!

I had this model of garbage disposal installed 11 years ago, and it finally quit working. Because I was going to replace it myself, I wanted to order the exact same model again so that I could just attach it to the existing mount without any worry of any problems. None of the local big box stores sold this model, so I ordered it from Amazon. It was an easy replacement, glad I bought the same model I used before, and I can be relatively confident it'll last another decade.

This cuts up everything so watch those little ones hands washing dishes or just playing at sink and flips on it.. I placed an orange in it, it tore it up quick with no problems! Great buy for the money! It did get a little loud over the 3 yrs though. I wished it was more quiet. Don’t hesitate it’s a great buy! Works awesome!

We thought we had received the wrong item because the model number was different, but after communicating with the seller, we learned that the model had changed by whirlpool (the GC2000EX has changed to the WG1202XH) and was an exact match to the original model. Me and my husband were able to install it with no problem using a combination of the included instructions and a little bit of YouTube university.

It broke 2 months after had it installed.
