Used this along with sound proofing material to build boxes for my in ceiling speakers. Really helps dampen the noise in the bedrooms above my living room

Despite a little expensive it's such a wonderful product, it worked very well for the purpose, reduced the noise at least 50% ...

I’ve used acoustic sealant in the past so I do have some experience with it. This stuff is not worth buying. It is a very watered down thin consistency. I have sound proof rooms before with acoustic sealant that is dense so when applying materials over it the sealant flattens but maintains it’s thickness to actually reduce sound transfer. This stuff might be good only for sealing holes and cracks not for actual sound transfer prevention on walls and ceiling installations. Stuck with all of this stuff might donate it to a charity that builds homes or something.

I really like the way this stuff applies, it's not too thin or too think that it becomes hard to work with. It takes a few days before you can hear the sound proofing difference. I rate it -3 to 5db when completely dry. It also has screw on nozzles so when you go from one container to the next you can just screw on the previous one already filled with the compound (that saves on compound). Just as good as green glue IMO

This caulk is pretty good quality. It works way better than I expected its nice and thick. It takes about 24 hours to dry and the smell isn’t bad at all so you don’t have to leave when you’re done which is very helpful.

It works! Dramatically reduced sound

Easily applied between water resistant Sheetrock and preexisting wall but still have audible noise from beyond application. It minimizes noise but would consider other options for complete silence.

Works well.
