Great piece of kit
This is a fantastic piece of kit for the price it’s ideal for home use and can be used from a standard 13a plug I’ve used it on cast iron and mild steel so far with good results

Good product with some modifications
We have purchased several of these for small occasional welding tasks by our fitting engineers, (gate automation equipment) who find them to be fine for the jobs they are used for. Small and lightweight and plenty of power for general welding tasks. Note the supplied welding cables are quite short and thin cable so we replaced with thicker and longer cables, along with new clamps etc, which greatly increases the usability for a fairly small cost. One thing to note, if you do purchase one, check the fitted 'fuse' in the plug, see attached image what we found in ours, which is certainly not a 13amp fuse!

Good little welder
Just been using this welder for flux welding. I'm more experienced in 3 phase mig and stick welding, but What a cracking little welder never done flux welding before, used 0.8 wire ,I've had no trouble with it what so ever. Only thing I say to people when buying this is get a flux shield/shroud ( take the gas shield off , you don't need it and you can see the pool better ) to stop the end of the gun from arcing against the metal when in a tight spaces and get some splatter paste for the end of the nossle..

Rubbish welding machine.
I purchased this months ago and only recently used it for the first time. After 30 minutes of operation the earth lead melted and simply fell off. The seller only offered a one month window of return so I'm stuck with a piece of junk. Nor is this a true 250amp welder, compared to a friend's 180amp welder it doesn't come close to the same power, at most it's a 150amp machine. I should've known when I opened the box and saw the diameter of the thin leads.

Will this work with a 1000 watt Petrol Generator?
Short answer, Yes! I'm a van lifer, I needed to weld a few bits on the van so bought this in hope it would work with my 1000 watt Petrol generator. I was very hesitant, thinking I'm going to have to upgrade the generator. As I've tried boiling water with a standard house kettle and it shut my generator down. So... I plugged her in set up this little welder expecting it not to work. It actually worked great. Welded perfect, well... perfect for someone that is new to welding. I did a few tests first. Even grabbing my grinder to cut through the weld. And damn... it had full penetration and was a mission to cut through. If any of you, like me are hesitant to buy this cos you too only have a 1000 watt generator. Rest assured. It works!
