This stuff is strong! I suggest cutting smaller strips, then if the holding power isn't quite there, adding more. I've used this is a few spots, but my most recent was to add a removeable wooden back to a cornhole/bags set I'd made. I needed a place to store my bags, and used some 1/4" plywood with this velcro to create a pocket for them. Each bag is ~1lb, so all together, 8ish lbs. Three strips of 3" or so, and the bags don't come out even with a shake. I've also used these with some little plywood dividers I made to create cargo divider space in the back of my hatchback. This is effective and cheaper than buying the plastic ones available online (assuming you have plywood scraps handy of course haha).I like to use a box cutter to cut my strips, because the adhesive back can muck up my scissors. I like that they included a tiny piece of loop material to hold the roll closed, but I still store my roll in the box to keep it free of any dust or debris kicked up in my shop. There are so many uses for this stuff around the house, and I love the increased hold.

In overall, this is a great product. I give it 5 stars. But I have noticed that when using these velcros in enclosed high humidity rooms (like a bathroom), they tend to fall of from the walls. The velcro itself works, but the adhesive to the wall fails. This has happened to me at least 6 times... On other places that are open, even if it rains on the velcro, they stay stick on the walls. Besides this issue, this is a great product.

Ok. I use a lot of velcro. I very often velcro things like communications devices, power banks, etc., to helmets that are used in 200mph plus motorcycle racing, and for use in open cockpit airplanes. I have spent thirty years looking for the best velcro and I have founbd that some are better than others. I thought the double-lock type was the best, but this stuff. This stuff is the stuff of legends. I applied a small strip to a power bank today, then to a helmet, and realized I had mis-placed it. So I tried to pull the powerbank off the velcro. I simply couldn't get it off. I absolutely could not get it off. The power bank was bending and creaking. I probably ruined it. The only way I got it off was that the velcro part that was stuck to the helmet came off -- that is the glue between the velcro and the helmet failed. That's the only reason this didn't get a 9 rating. I am hopeful, though, that if the sticky side gets 24 - 48 hours to cure onto the surface, it will be significantly stronger. Yes, the surface was prepped with alcohol. Otherwise, my advice is to start by using a much smaller piece than you think you need to attach something. You can always add more. This is amazing velcro. By far, by far, the strongest I have used in my lifetime.

I had always believed velcro a strong multi purpose fastener which could be used in many ways. Problem i always was adhesive not sticking to areas as necessary. So i took a chance and searched for commercial velcro and was referred to several products was of much better quality and strength. Very pleased with my purchase, will buy again.

This was used to hold and outdoor rug in place in a medium traffic area and held up for a couple of weeks with no water exposure. It was attached to a large plastic sheet that was clean and smooth. I'm sure in other use cases it might prove to be better but in this case it did not hold up.

I use this tape to hold up my address on some stone! So far it has been on there a month and I’m very happy with the product. Make sure when you put it on you apply pressure for at least a minute before releasing.
