Hillsdale Montello 32-Inch Swivel Bar Stool, Old Steel Finish with Faux Brown Leather

Beautiful chair. This is so well constructed. Weld seams are strong and look nice. I am replacing a twelve year old set of chairs that I dearly love. I have the old set zip tied together because so many welds have simply failed over the years. It was finally time to say goodbye to them. I was so pleased with the quality construction on this new chair. Much stronger welds. Better than is standard on the market today. I compared a lot of chairs before settling on this one.The vinyl seat is easily washable. It has a slight texture to it and a subtle color variance that makes it look more like real leather. The top "wood" looking piece on the back of the chair is also textured. It is very solid and does not wiggle at all where it is attached by screws to the metal frame. The swivel function is not free swinging. It requires some downward weight in the chair and an intentional push to swivel the seat. That is nice. My old chairs were more free swinging and often little fingers would get smashed unintentionally between the chair back and the counter top.As for the color of the metal. It has a very golden cast to the metal. It is not a true age bronze/black/gray look. I have gold flecks in my granite surfaces that tend to make this chair look gold. I might consider painting them black, but other than the color issue, I think this is an amazingly well made and nice looking chair.

Finally, a bar stool that is made solid. This was our third try at finding a bar stool for our high kitchen bar counter for the right height and quality of product. Saw this, decided to try, but only ordered one. Arrived in great shape, earlier than estimated, took hubby about 10 minutes to take out of box and put seat on. The rest of the stool is welded together. Amazing. Great design, very pleased with the craftsmanship and it is high enough for the bar counter and easy for this 5'2 frame to take a seat. Did not disappoint at all. In fact, we ordered two more. Yay!

The Hillsdale Montello Bar Stools are beautiful and very sturdy. When sitting on the seat it revolves very easy-it is stiff to turn the seat if there is no weight on it. This part I like as no one can spin the seat. I have 6 in my new home and everyone have given a positive comment on the comfort and style of the stools. They are worth the money. Only part I didn't like was I could only order 3 at a time then had to have someone else order me the other 3. That was not a acceptable way to order and why would it be that way?

Been shopping for barstools for way too long. We have a counter that is 45" tall. All the adjustable barstools we found seemed very cheep. The ones that were 30" were too short to be comfortable eating. This barstool is perfect. Great price, nice and sturdy. And the mix of materials worked great in our room. Doesnt look cheap at all. The swivel is a little tough, but I suppose its better than being loose. And the seat pad is a touch on the stiff side but Im sure it will soften over time. So glad our barstool search is over!

These stools are tremendous. They are strong and stately. I just finished a remodel by adding a bar to divide my kitchen and living area and these stools finished it off nicely. I ordered four and if I had room would order more. The swivel action is smooth and they are as comfortable as can be. The look is rich and they are sturdy. Eating at the bar in this house is now the preferred way to enjoy a meal. Shipping was quick and the packaging was perfect. Just enough to keep them well protected and prevent any damage. One thing that was a surprise was that they arrived the same day my confirmation of shipping arrived via email. The plastic wrap on the stools is a bit tiresome to remove but as previously mentioned they arrived in perfect condition. If you have a higher than average bar top BUY THESE!!!!

The stools were easy to assemble. They are very sturdy and comfortable at out 36 in island. The metal / wood/ leather coordinates beautifully with our kitchen cabinets & decor. The only negative is so far the stools are a little stiff with swiveling but I expect this to improve with time.

I found these stools at a local retailer for almost twice what I paid for them on Amazon. They were easy to put together and I'm not the handy type. I did it myself after reading reviews on how to get the plastic off under the seats. They look great and my kids can get off and on them easily. They are 6 and 7 years old. Very sturdy and they don't tip! I'm going to buy the backless ones for the bar downstairs because these worked out so well! The only dislike I have is with the back rest. I thought they were wood and they aren't. Love them.

The bar stools was very easy to put together, very sturdy and comfortable. The are very nice and look very nice in my home. What I don't like is they are too tall. They're 32 inch and I need a 26 or 28 inch.
