Love, love, love TOOBS
I have a four-year-old grandson who loves animals of all kinds. He has another TOOB of sharks and whales, as well as fish from another company. One of his favorite things to do is fill a shallow container with water and play with his marine animals. He will do this for hours. This set adds more dimension to his water play. We have purchased several sets of TOOBs to feed his love of animals and are never disappointed in them or in the larger Safari animals. They are a quality product. They are sturdy enough to play with, realistically colored, and visually correct to aid in identification. TOOBs will continue to be a staple in our toy budget as long as he is passionate about animalsrealistically colored, and visually correct to aid in identification. Great for young ones
My 20 month old loves these, especially the one that looks like dory! Great for her learning new words. Easy to bring along to a restaurant if you put in a small bag. Great for a sensory box too.

Toobs, and Montessori sensitive period for small objects
I speak as a mother of Montessorian kids. The Montessori philosophy believes in sensitive periods, and among them, a sensitive period for small objects around age two. I purchased these Toobs for this purpose. My son notices the smallest little details in his environment, that no one else would notice. This is a sign of readiness. I let the kids freely play with the figures, using felt fabric for backgrounds, and nature treasures (leaves, rocks...), or I create cards that contain a picture of each objects, to match with the objects. This is a matching object-picture Montessori practice. You can also take them along when visiting the real world! Finally, the good thing about the figures, or any Toobs is that they use realistic shapes, and real life situations, which kids need in order to comprehend the world surrounding them.

Used for Cake Decorations!
I used these, very durable, plastic sea toys for cake toppers on my son's cake. He loved it and they worked out perfectly. After he took them off we washed them and now he plays with them in the bath. I do not recommend these toys for kids who put things in their mouth, some seem small enough to choke on, if not careful. I think they were a wonderful price for what I used them for and my son loved them!!!

Great bath friends
My nearly 3 year old son has shown an interest in sea creatures this summer, so finding Safari Ltd.'s line was very helpful. The reassurance that the paint meets child safety standards is certainly a big plus, but these have also held up to some very vigorous play (including a dunk in the bath every morning and rinse afterward). These Toobs are a really great way to get some diverse creatures into your kids hands! The ONLY comment I have is that the tube itself makes it a bit difficult for a toddler to get the biggest piece (the treasure chest) out.

Paint peeled first use
The paint on the treasure chest started peeling on the first day and that was through very gentle play. Disappointed in the quality considering the great reviews and higher price point.

My 2 yo son loves them.
He loves them for the bathtub. My son loves his baths and these were cheap toys for him to use in the tub. He loves to play with the fish. They're big enough that he can enjoy them, yet small enough to fit in a busy bathroom without an issue.

I really loved all of them
I purchased 4 different TOOBs of animals. I really loved all of them, but this was my favorite. The creatures were very colorful, although the description page did have some of the names of the animals listed incorrectly. I made flashcards with pictures of the real animals on the cards for my 2-year-old grandson to match the figurine to the picture. He loves this game.
