Easy to use and not brassy.
Love John Frieda hair color. Color is not brassy, easy to use and last. Would buy it again.

This stuff is great!
I went from being Blonde, back to my Brown hair and the color faded relatively quickly. I ordered this shampoo and it appears to have a brown tint in the shampoo and it really did work. I never like using the same shampoo over and over but if you need a boost of brown I do recommend this. Next time I will try the conditioner and see how it turns out.The only thing I would change is the Scent. It's NOT that it was horrible...it was simply ok. I love my hair smelling great so if they changed the scent to be a little "fresher" smelling it would be perfect!

Great!
I love this. My hair natural hair color varies between dark dirty blond to the color of a Hershey kiss depending on the season. Lately it's been looking flat and one dementional. This has been helping deepen my color - making it look richer and healthier. It looks super dark when you out it in your hands but it doesn't color your hands or stain your shower at all so don't worry about using it on white rubs or tiles!

Not a replacement for hair dye
The positives of this product are these: your hair feels clean and shiny, the price point is good, and the scent was good. What I THOUGHT I was getting with this product was an alternative to hair dye, but it actually just “tinted the grey hair.” It wasn’t what I was looking for, but if you wanted more of a tiny than a dye this would be your product.

Tones down my grays
I have fine, wavy hair that has started to gray. I have to be careful what shampoos and conditioners I use because they can flatten my hair. I have been dying it since I was in my 40’s, and now, at age 60, I have seemed to develop an allergy to an ingredient in brown hair dyes (likely paraphenylenediamine (PPD), but not tested). I tried the all gray look during the pandemic, but it just made me look old and I don’t have that pretty gray hair color. This shampoo tones down my gray, while leaving my hair with its natural wave. Speaking of natural, it does not look dyed, and somehow, creates a tone of gray that is prettier than my own, but less of it. I would say it takes me back to the amount of gray I had 10 years ago, only better. Also, it does not flatten my hair and I can leave it dry naturally with the waves intact. Smell is fine. Not my favorite, but not obnoxious. Bonus: no itchy scalp from an allergen.

Awesome product!
Although this is mainly advertised as shampoo, it’s actually a great product to tone down any brassiness in your brown hair. It cleans lightly while strengthening brown tones, does not pick up blonde/brassy looking highlights. I use it for two weeks every time I get my hair colored and it makes the color even more beautiful. Also does not fade as quickly.

Did not work
This and the matching Brilliant Brunette conditioner did not work for coloring grays or enhancing my natural brown hair. It also smells like boxed hair dye and stinks. The product itself and seller would get zero stars if that was possible. I tried returning it after one use thru Amazon and was forced to try to return it to the seller directly. Was not able to get this and the conditioner returned. I used it up as fast as I could because I hated to waste the money or put the remaining in the garbage just to end up in the landfill. However that's where this stuff needs to go... in the garbage!
