Rather, it is attached with a plastic pin which must be inserted through a hinge on the cover plate and the clear plastic cover. However, this product includes all the mounting hardware you would need to replace your entire current exterior outlet cover and the installation is quite simple.

Can you turn the faceplate from 12 to the 9 o'clock position so the outlets can be mounted sideways (=)o(=) with the box hinges on top?
