This gold mount plate came complete with mounting screws. All I had to do was screw it onto my cheese plate and it was ready to go. Although I’m not using it in its full potential, as in wiring it into my camera, I’m using this on a universal mount so it can be a solid mount for gold mount batteries. The plate has a d tap out where I can use to power my camera. The release button is smooth, and batteries slip on perfectly. The loud snap noise is a confidence booster when plugging in a battery, makes you know you have a solid lock connection. Totally recommend this for any looking for a gold mount plate solution!

To be honest I wasn't expecting the back of this to be open and exposed. However I guess it's designed this way since it's primarily meant to be used with the Wooden Director's Monitor Cage. That being said it will work fine if you just need a way to add additional d-tap ports to your gold mount battery.
