These are not sack lunch size. These are regular sized bags. I would describe the weight as medium. These are not old school grocery bag thick and rough. But they are also not tissue paper thin. They are some where in the middle.

Good quality bag, but not tall enough. Likely my bad as i didn"t see measurements in the description. Will use bags for recycling.

Lunch bags are too Small, Grocery bags too Big. These bags are the Three Bears of the Decoy Paper Wasp world. You can find many tutorials online showing how to open bags up, punch the bottom corners in and twist the bag against itself as you would if wringing out a towel. This wrinkles the bag up believably so that when you open it back up and put some recyclable trash inside to make it football shaped, it will look remarkably similar to a paper wasps nest. Add a little gravel before you stuff it to help it hang stiffly and not flap around in the wind and tie the open end shut with some twine. Now, hang it up in places where you have Carpenter Bees and watch over time as they evacuate the area. these bags are strong, not thin or flimsy. They easily took the beating this process causes and are holding up like champs. The seams are strong and again the size is absolutely perfect for this use. We didn’t notice any perceptible scent, they smell fine. they would be easy to use as regular bags and are a good size for a produce or fruit stand, even a yard sale! These function perfectly as paper bags as well as in the use described above. AAA

It is a good idea to have these bags on hand. They can be used for all sorts of things.

Good but def does NOT safely handle 52 lbs. I use to recycle paper. It easily rips from weight. I would double bag if carrying 2 full regular size wine bottles.
