Works as advertised, meets all my expectations, and with prime shipping I did not have to wait 6 weeks like most of the other listings.** Update** I purchased this Wii to HDMI Converter & Adapter weeks ago and still love it. This product shipped quickly, was well packaged, and arrived days sooner than expected. Bottom line is this thing works well and has not disappointed the family. It works with the HDMI and upscales to fit to screen, so much better than the component cables that I had been using for years, I must say that I am happy with the results. This has brought new excitement back to my family and now they are playing the wii again… that and the new Mario cart we purchased  Mario Kart Wii - Game Only by Nintendo (Certified Refurbished) . If you are like me and so many others who rely heavily on reviews to make an informed decision before purchasing, I hope this information has helped you make a decision to purchase it or not.

There must be a horrible quality control problem wherever these are made, because mine is 100% defective. I get absolutely no picture or sound on either of the two TV's I've tried this on (they're both compatible based on the product description), the TV's don't even register that there's something plugged in. I switched out HDMI cables, looked through the settings on my TV's to see if I could change something to get it to work, Googled for answers... NOTHING fixed it. Anyone who received a product that worked just won the luck of the draw, but I'm not putting my name back into that hat. Returning this for a refund and paying a little extra for something that was made in a factory with standards. Buyer beware.

I bought this Wii to HDMI converter to get away from the red/white/yellow cables that most commonly are used to connect the Wii to your TV. Wow, this converter made it so easy! I plugged the converter into the same outlet on the Wii as you would the main plug end of the red/white/yellow cable. Then I connected one end of an HDMI cable to connect the converter and the other end an HDMI input to the TV. Easy breezy!! The picture and sound are as perfect as they were before and it was easy and is less congested with cables. I totally recommend this product!!!

I purchased this item to connect my Wii to my wall mounted TV in the basement. Due to the wall mounting, it was a MAJOR pain trying to get the AV cables in and out, but prior to mounting the TV 2 years ago, I pre-ran 4 premium HDMI cables for future use. This converter was the ideal solution! Great right? Unfortunately not. This item DOES NOT connect with my premium HDMI cables. It appears that the socket is not quite deep enough to facilitate a connection for whatever reason. On the other hand, it does work just fine with the standard, non premium cables that I have in other rooms. It does what its supposed to do, however for my situation it unfortunately didn't provide the solution for the problem as I had hoped it would. But, for the price, I'm not overly upset. Just a bit disappointed.

Still want to use your Wii? Want to make it look and sound great via 1 hdmi cable. this does it. open package, plug-in and play. Perfect. Prior to getting this, my receiver and TV would not accept the composite video signal from the Wii (sound only). Now, not only does it work, it looks a lot better than it did with component cables (on the old tv it played fine on).

Unlike some other reviewers I got sound and picture no problem... for about 10 minutes. Then the Wii suddenly shut off completely. Unplugged and plugged back in, and would keep getting the red light on the power switch. Turn it on and it flashes and goes totally dark again. Plugged the original A/V cords in and everything works fine. Plug this thing in and it shorts out the Wii. Sending it back.

We've been dealing with having to constantly change plugs when we switch between using the Wii and dvd player. I did research and stumbled upon this product. I've very happy. You simply plug this adapter into the back of the Wii, attach to an HDMI cable and plug the other end into the TV. Now no more switching back and forth .And we have not noticed any differences in the video quality on the screen.

Works as advertised. While it has a separate port apparently for audio, it is not required depending on your monitor. I use it to connect to a Samsung SyncMaster T240HD. Form factor could be a little better but that is likely the engineer in me talking.
