This battery fit exactly into my laptop. the photo shows the new battery and the original battery that started to look like ravioli. It took about 10 minutes to change. I have not rated battery life since it's too new, but will update this later. Instructions were not as clear as they could have been. The instructions state, "Before initial use of the computer...the battery must be charged to full and discharged for 3-4 times to optimize performance." I'm not sure you can discharge the battery without using the computer. I performed several charge/discharge cycles, the battery seems to be working fine.

UPDATE: The battery died after about 7 months of hard use, contacted the company and they sent out a FREE replacement. That made me very happy. If your battery croaks within a year, reach out to the company.I bought this battery to relace one in a customers laptop that bad been plugged in for so long that the factory battery lost it's ability to maintain a charge. Th thin HP laptops are a bit of a pain to take apart because you need to take the bottom shell off to get to the battery. There are some excellent, easy to follow YouTube videos for doing this and it only took about 15 minutes from start to finish. The customer now gets between 2.5-3.5 hours off a single charge and is thrilled.Be sure to recycle the old battery responsibly!

The battery had a cell failure two months after installation. Installation went well and when turned back on it said charging and would go to 100% but after about a month and a half I noticed it did not say charging any more and finally it got to the point it said no battery found.Worked with HP to see if something went wrong with my laptop but the final outcome was the battery had a dead cell and could not be revived. They said you need to purchase a new battery.

Exactly as you would expect. Simple install even a kid could do it. They also include a set of tools for you to use incase you need it. After testing the battery extensively it also does as well as the original OEM part.

Needed the battery for its life and evident function need supplied.

Say what you will about Best Buy Geeks, but one of these smart tech's suggested I buy a replacement battery for an HP Envy on Amazon and let him install BEFORE paying $1200 for replacement of entire laptop. He was spot on - found the battery needed on first search, ordered, received and installed by Geek in 5 minutes. Total cost under $30 - quite a savings! Laptop back to quick boot and running fine. Thankful for the Simple Fix.

I purchased this battery on Jul 14, 2022 I installed in the same day I got it ... over the past month my computer has been showing the battery wont charge and now it is so dead my laptop says I do not have a battery in it at all. I have never had a laptop battery go bad so quickly. I cannot find how to reach the seller to get this warranty and according to my purchase the service ended just 4 days ago so it looks like I am stuck purchasing yet another batter in less than a year.
