My spouse does her paper work on the coffee table. Problem is - there isn't enough light. Purchased this portable light to help her. She charges this light through our normal phone charger plug (Charging cord comes with the light). The light is quite bright. Brightness seems to last for 5 hours, then she charges it again.

Just what my wife needed. Portable. Small footprint. Works as advertised. Thanks.

The battery only worked for a couple of weeks and then never recharged. I returned it.

Very small compact (and portable) LED light. Rechargeable, is a major selling point for me. Will hold a charge and stay illuminated for several hours, but only 2 hours at "full brightness"When fully extended it's 21", each segment about 7". Can adjust any which way or fold up completely. Charges with included USB cord, can charge from your computer or if you have a USB wall adapter, can charge from a wall outlet. The adapter is not included though. Mine arrived with a slight charge. Enough to unplug and use for an hour before growing dim. I recharged overnight and then tried again. It went for 2 hours before starting to dim, and another couple hours of it just growing steadily dimmer until it faded. You can of course leave this plugged in so it does not lose power.The functions are basic, an on off switch at the base, and the charging plug. No directions necessary on operation - very simple even a child could use it successfully.It's not as bright as some lamps I have but works for a little extra light where you need it (and since it is portable that is certainly doable anywhere), but the light is a bright white and not yellow, so it's ideal for reading and that type of thing. Might work as a kid's night light too.I got mine at a discount for the purposes of this review.

This compact lamp makes a great spare. Folded, it's small enough to store easily. Even so, it opens to a useful size, with small enough footprint that it won't take much space on a desk or table. It recharges from a USB micro port - no batteries to keep buying, and you probably have a phone charger that will work with it. The brightness is plenty for me to read by, but I expect opinions to differ. It's a great task light, too, when you have a job to do in some cramped space - it doesn't take much room, and LEDs don't generate the heat my old drop light does.It won't be part of my permanent decor, but it's a useful supplement when I need some light where I hadn't planned for it.-- wiredweird, reviewing a sample provided by the manufacturer
