TEMCo TH0035 Heavy Duty 500 MCM Ratcheting Wire & Cable Cutter for Copper and Aluminum

Bought this to cut piping to fit in our gayloard boxes from objects we can not fit under our circular saw or tight places. This cuts really good, we really like it. The only thing is, I wish the extended handles would lock in place. When you extend them and start the cutting the extended handles slide up and down, it makes it really hard to make a continuous cut, I have to stop and pull the handles out over and over. Little annoying. If there is something to lock them in place I did not find it. But these cut really nice and very quickly. very nice cutters.

This is an excellent tool. I recently had to make about 40 4/0 cables for a trailer solar and battery setup. The tool works flawlessly and the cut's were very consistent. It made crimping 3/8 hole copper lugs on the cables much easier(as welding wire has a much higher wire count and it can be a pain to ensure all threads are fed into the lug as a group).Would recommend.

For the price they are amazing but I will say the reset in between pumps is a little longer compared to your name brand ones but it doesn’t bother me I just use both hands which I do anyways with which ever brand of ratchet cutters I use. These cutters are as well built as any other name brand one, I spent a week cutting 500mcm(which is limit of these cutters) in tight spots where sawzall wouldn’t fit and they did not loosen, break, jam or chip 100% recommend for price, temco is underrated but they are an amazing company

The extension handles make this very useful. I use them to cut Jacketed 15kV 750MCM Aluminum cable with a 1/3 (250MCM) Cu concentric neutral. If you can keep these out of the hands of someone who tries to cut ACSR, and out of the mud, they will last a long time. I would (and will) buy them again.

TEMCO tool are a good value. They are tough & do a good job. They are a little more than Chinese brands , but less than bigger name tools .

Nice compact size.I haven't cut 500mcm yet but I did cut two 3/0 at the same time and it did it. The blades could be sharper. I spent about 15 minutes with my diamond stones and now it's perfect. Will be using it on 500mcm in a couple of weeks and will update then if I remember. ;)Here is a update, I cut 500mcm and it works fine, I had to use two hands at the end because of my arthritis but the 21 year old helper did it one handed. I am buying another one.

Well made, can’t beat the price. Awesome product that doesn’t rip me off. Other similar items made my other high end manufacturers are 3-4 times the price. Don’t buy those, buy these.

Bought these to use on 750mcm aluminum and 4/0 copper for my job . Compact size and ease of use make them hard to beat . Excellent tool for the price - I have paid much more for less value than this tool

Works well but a little awkward to use. Cuts 750 mcm easily. And the release is a little tricky to figure out

Damaged blade with first cut through cable. ratchet jammed and i had to take the tool apart to get it off the cable. will be returning

I am working on towers and decommissioning sites and this tool is perfect for the job cutting cables.
