Reasonable price and does the trick!! I am ordering two more.
I've recently moved from Australia to the U.S. with several devices that are 220V. I first bought a smaller device from eBay to use for my desktop computer (which doesn't have 110-220V for some reason), but it didn't work. I've bought this device and it worked very well. I've had it for over a month now and I tested it with my desktop PC, TV, DVD player, video player and my wife's GHD (hair stuff - a heating device). It works very well, given the number of devices I have I will order two more. The good thing is that if I move back to Australia, I can re-use the same device to get the 110V devices I bought from here to work in Australia.

Spend more, it is worth it
The euro style plug on this box is not grounded, therefore, when it is operating, it is a fire hazard and unsafe and will shock you if you touch it. I also cannot figure out how to get it to operate at the voltages advertised besides going from 110 to 220 or 220 to 110. Says on the box it will do 120V, but I don't think it actually does. This is an issue for picky US appliances that expect exactly 120V. I wish I had just spent a little more and got a quality transformer that I didn't have to worry about burning down my house.

Chunky machine
Product works fine. Noted that some people complained there wasn't detailed instructions. It is that simple you really don't need them so don't agree with people on that.Only downside is that this is a chunky, heavy box however in a sense this gave me some comfort that is was well made and wasn't about to explode. However difficult to move around if you want to use it in different places in the house.

You get what you pay for
Neither the european style plug on the cable coming out of the box nor the adapter for US style plugs had a "third" pin for the case ground. Therefore the metal transfomer box and whatever you are electrifying (likely yourself with this POJ) will not have a case ground, a major safety issue. Because it is truly unsafe to use as is I can not give this a low enough rating. I'm not an electrician, but I've got a minor in electronics and have worked under an electrician in the past and I can tell you it is truly scary to have an AC transformer in an ungrounded metal box. There is a reason why this device is not UL approved, and that is because it IS NOT SAFE.So I cut the cable and installed a 3 prong plug and it took a 375 watt load for about 5 hours before the whole place smelled of ozone and the case was too hot to touch. I tossed it in the trash and bought something UL listed and made in the USA.

Delivered to me broken
I bought this to power my Samsung 120 watt LED TV that I bought back when I was living in Germany. First off, I should say that it is working good now, stays quiet and cool. However, when I opened up the box yesterday and took it out I heard something rattling inside of it, sure enough when I unscrewed the casing and looked inside, 2 of the 4 screws holding the transformer in place, including one of the screws that was supposed to ground one of the wires was completely unscrewed. The other 2 screws were loose as well and barely holding on. So aside from the 10 minutes for me to figure out what was wrong and fix it (and find all the loose pieces) it works fine and so far I'm satisfied with its performance.

Works great, just make sure that you need it.
I bought this transformer, because the typical ones that you see at your run-of-the-mill electronics stores are not built for items like a laptop, printer, et al. I used it on my last overseas trip: it worked perfectly. It's not too big, but it is pretty heavy (a lot heavier than you would think in fact). But in the end you might not need it at all. I bought it because some no-nothing sales clerk at BestBuy said that if I didn't have a transformer and tried to plug my laptop into a European outlet it would "blow-up." But check your power cord. Under "Input" my computer cord gives me a range of voltages (ie. 100-240V). I'm in Salzburg right now with my computer plugged in and everything (no transformer) and it's running just fine. Moral: make sure you need it before you buy it.

Excellent value for money
I use this as a step-up converter to drive a couple of German kitchen appliances in New York. It has enough watts to power a waffle iron and also my beloved Zauberstab (immersion blender). So no complaints, especially at this price point. My only criticism is that unlike other models there is only a switch to select between 110 and 220 V, not different power cables. So you better make sure and double sure that you have selected the correct Volts, otherwise you could fry expensive gear.Other than that, great value for money and very reliable in a messy environment (kitchen).
