I waited 3 years to write this review...
Never in my life did I think I would spend this much money on a cutting board but OH MY is this thing wonderful. We’ve mostly been using it to serve ourselves pizza! I’ve also used it to create some lavish charcuterie boards. I’ve included photos of how I entertain myself sometimes. And yes, I waited three years after purchasing and using to write this review because I wanted to make sure I could really put it to use before speaking about it, because again, this is a lot of money for a cutting board. Well, I’m glad I did. I was very concerned about the rocking pizza cutter making huge, deep, irreparable cuts into the wood, but it hasn’t. See photos for proof. This thing is HEAVY DUTY. Oh, and if you didn’t notice, the dark color is just gorgeous.IMPORTANT: Buy these three critical accessories, all sold separately:John Boos MYSB Mystery Butcher Block Oil, sold on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00063QPYQJohn Boos Block BWCB Butcher Block Board Cream, sold on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002HDT9FKANDJohn Boos Butcher Block Oil & Cream Applicator, sold on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FL8K1LCaring for our Boos Block has also been easier than I expected. This is what I do:1. Soak a sponge with water and a bit of dish soap. Wash thoroughly.2. Rinse the sponge and wipe the block again, removing most of what was cleaned off in step 1.3. Repeat step 2. Give it a few minutes to dry, then…4. Apply the oil with the applicator I mentioned above and let it sit for a couple of hours.5. Come back, wipe off any excess with a paper towel, and apply the cream (note that I only apply the cream every third use as it doesn’t seem to be necessary to do every time). Let sit overnight.6. Make another pizza!

Excellent Product
Surprised by some of the negative reviews. This was the perfect size to cover a prep sink in my kitchen island that already had a maple block top. Perfect size and match for the existing countertop. Smooth on all surfaces and well made. I have just used inexpensive food grade mineral oil on it, as I do on the countertop, and the results are outstanding. Not cheap but definitely worth the price.

Walnut wood grain is beautiful.
This is our third Boos Block, all for different purposes. We use the round walnut cutting board for the Lazy Susan on our dining table. It looks good, cleans nicely, and allows us to do prep in the kitchen and then carry it into the dining room. The walnut wood grain and color is gorgeous.

CRACKED ALREADY AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
cracked and warped in less than a year and care was done as instructed esp with boos oil as well.reached out to the seller but they aren’t being professionally or helpful either. no refund or replacement was offered either since it was part 30 days.expected a better customer service but won’t be repurchasing this brand any more. Very disappointed for the money I paid and how this became the waste.

Nice cutting board
I used this as a table top in my camper on top of a pedestal base. Works great. Nice quality.

serviceable but disappointing
I have owned three Boos cutting boards before this one. I had wanted a round one for a long time and i chose this for price. I am surprised by how rough the surfaces are and the presence of nicks on the edges. The finishes are so rough that the burrs catch threads from a dish towel. I guess the price should have been a tip off.

Requires some tlc at first
Really nice board now that it’s been cleaned up and “serviced”. I recommend oiling everyday for a week. Then seal with board cream. Then oil/cream once a month. It’s great to cut on and looks like a nice piece of furniture sitting on the counter.
