Skechers Men's Tresmen-Garo Open Toe Water Sandal

We were spending a week at Padre island and I realized that my sandals were worn out. Since pretty much all of my shoes are Skechers this was an easy decision. I wanted waterproof sandals to wear surf fishing and these things are great. Being waterproof they are a little more stiff than non waterproof but it doesn’t cause issues. The soles are very comfortable with a lot of cushioning, and they look great too. I highly recommend these as everything about them is great including the price.

Well so far I'm very impressed with the comfort and build quality. I noted some reviews report the straps break and the soles split in two. I'll update if they fail, but for now they are above my expectations. Straps are comfortable with no stictch "stickers," fairly lightweight. Look good. I wasn't thrilled by the external guard on the straps but I can see how that can protect the feet. I've seen similar sandals for twice and three times the price, so this is a good value.

I am pleased overall. But there is one aspect of the design that is not perfect for me, so I'm only giving them 4 starsI like the construction, the materials, and the fit. I'm a little anxious that the Velcro closed heel strap may be the first thing to wear out, but so far everything is working well.For me, the sole does not extend far enough in front of my toes. I have a somewhat narrow foot, so perhaps that's the cause.. but i suspect it's something that would apply to most folks. I'll enclose a photo to demonstrate.Another positive: I really like the gel cushions in the sole. They were a bit disconcerting at first, but quickly became a favorite feature.I got then at a really good price. I consider them an excellent value.

Great sandals! Really heavy duty tread and very comfortable on long walks through rough terrain. Size was accurate. Half the price of the Skechers outlet store. Great value.
