Great cord. Handy to have ready & waiting in the house.
I thought I'd write a review as some of the negative reviews put me off buying this, yet I have not experienced any of those problems. People have reported the plastic spool breaking. Mine arrived fine despite being wrapped solely in one of those thick plastic postage bags i.e. there was nothing else (such as an Amazon box or bubble wrap) to protect it. Had the plastic spool arrived broken, it would not have been a problem - I would have reported it to Amazon and posted it back post-free. As for people reporting the paracord unravelling from the reel, I have not had that problem. I simply put a large elastic band around the reel to prevent it. For a week I did not do that and still had no problem. Frankly, it the same as a reel of anything. If you treat it badly then it can become tangled. But it seems easy to prevent it. To prevent the paracord itself unravelling, I melt the ends with a lighter every time I cut a piece off. People have also reported that this is not 'proper' paracord based on its relatively low breaking strain. This seems to be a misconception. There are various grades of paracord, all with different breaking strains - Type I, IA, II, IIA, III and IV, with a *minimum* breaking strength ranging from approximately 43 to 340 kg (Type I and Type IV respectively). The seller lists the *maximum* breaking strain of this paracord as 70 kg so it appears to be Type I or Type IA. For most of my jobs that is absolutely fine. At the same time as buying this I bought some type III paracord (a.k.a. '550 cord', so called because it has a minimum breaking strength of 550 lb which is equivalent to 249 kg) from Amazon. It cost twice the price per metre. So it just depends what you are looking for. I have found this very useful for those jobs in the house that just crop up, as well as for bushcraft. Within two weeks of buying it on a whim, I suddenly found I needed some cord for a job in the house. I just hope that people don't religiously trust the advertised breaking strain in cases where failure would cause a problem. Great product. I'm looking forward to using it this summer for bushcraft.

GOOD PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE
Decent quality cord with a nation of uses for outdoor activities although it is more like a thick braided shoelace than paracord. It is not as tightly made as 'proper' paracord but since the breaking strain is up to 100kg it's easily strong enough for hanging tarps, making shelters, traps, guy lines etc. etc. Knot strength seems good too but I guess that varies with the type of knot tied and how well it is tied - I haven't broken it yet. Obviously the reel is too big to carry about in a backpack but is a very useful item for replenishing a smaller dispenser which would be carried in a backpack (see pictures). The 100m roll I got filled 4 dispensers easily and I only noticed one join in the whole roll, just as the first dispenser was getting full so it was a convenient place to cut it before loading the next dispenser. You get what you pay for and at this price you get a lot for your money.

Great cord, bad reel
As other reviewers have said, this is a brilliantly versatile 3mm paracord with an approx 70kg breaking strain, great for everyday uses. BUT! also as other have said, the reel it comes on is rubbish. I was using 5 reels on a project where I had to run between multiple points, tied off an end, dropped the reel on the floor to come down stepladder... 1.5m drop... reel breaks, cord is a bird's nest of tangled chaos. This happened to 3 reels. Come on, Web Tex, spend 10p more on a better reel!

This is not paracord, its more of a rope.
