Sexy & suspenseful....a must read
Easy With You is book number 8.5 in author Kristen Proby’s With Me In Seattle Series, as well as story number 3 in the 1,001 Dark Nights 2015 line-up, and serves up on hell of a crossover between author Proby’s Seattle series and her new Boudreaux series. I loved every sexy and thrilling minute of this story.Lila and Asher meet when she falls, literally, into his lap on a flight and while the attraction was there, neither one of them thought to take it to the next level by getting a phone number. Fate fixes that when they run into each other again at a bar one evening. Realizing that this second chance meeting isn’t one to be ignored, they take advantage of it and spend one hot, delicious, sexy night together. But still, no phone numbers exchanged. They both knew it was better that way. Asher was a single father now and he needed to focus on his daughter and his work. He didn’t want to form any kind of bond with a woman that could one day come back to hurt him. Like the bond he once had with his wife. The wife that was now gone. Lila had her reasons as well for wanting to focus on her work and life, most of which were courtesy of a less than stealer childhood.Soon enough, though, fate plays her hand again and puts these two together when there’s a serial killer on the loose at Lila’s university. She had no idea Asher had moved to her town and was now heading up the case. She had no idea how seeing him again would affect her. The same can be said for Asher. This case brings out a protective side in him that he can’t ignore. He would do whatever needed to be done to keep Lila safe. With their attraction still just as heated as it was the last time they saw one another, and the added emotion with danger lurking just out of sight, things between Lila and Asher will reach a fevered pitch in the most delicious of ways.Oh, my. From start to finish, this novella had me glued to the pages. Asher is take-charge and protective. He truly shines as a single father and he had me swooning too many times to count. I loved how he loves his daughter. Lila is strong and determined with a good level head when it came to knowing when to take the protection Asher was offering. Nothing annoys me more than a heroine that just won’t listen to reason and Lila was the complete opposite. Together they are a beautiful match and really burn up the sheets *fans self*.The combination of suspense, heat, and stellar characters was simply fabulous. It was also a combination that was perfectly balanced. There wasn’t too much or too little of one of the layers and I really appreciated that. I have found a lot of romantic suspense stories tend to lean towards the lighter side when it comes to the sex and it leaves me feeling a bit let down. Not this one. Oh, not even a little bit…the sexy scenes in this novella were delectable.Thank you Kristen, for a fantastic read! I hope we see more of your romantic suspense in the future because you rocked it!!

Quick, suspenseful, but still very sexy read
I gotta admit I was a bit confused when I saw that this book was part of the With Me in Seattle series. As far as I knew we had gone through all the Montgomery men and that series was over, so I thrilled when I realized that Asher (who we met in Easy Love, book 1 of the Boudreaux series) was Matt Montgomery's old partner and this book ties two of Proby's series together!!This was a very quick, suspenseful, but still very steamy read. I loved how quickly Asher and Lila reconnected after that one night nine months ago. I loved how fiercely protective Asher was, but most of all, I loved how Lila quickly became a part of Asher & Casey's family. She adored that little girl more than she initially thought she ever could and that just gave me all the feels ❤

Fantastic crossover
Crossovers between two favorite series are a treat to read, and Kristen Proby delivered a great suspenseful and sexy one with Easy with You. I enjoyed this story so much that I wished it was a full novel! Fans of her With Me in Seattle series will remember single father Asher Smith as Matt Montgomery’s partner. Lila Bailey is a college professor in New Orleans, the setting for Proby’s Boudreaux series. After one very hot night together, Asher and Lila’s paths cross again when Asher moves to town and becomes a part of the investigation surrounding the murders of some of Lila’s female students.Despite this being a shorter read, I felt much more than just physical attraction between Asher and Lila. Although she proclaimed that she was not interested in children, I loved the way Lila connected with Asher’s daughter. Asher stole my heart from the very beginning. I enjoyed that Lila was a strong woman but not afraid to love him. The suspense element was well done and definitely something I would enjoy seeing more of from Proby in the future. The only downside of reading this novella was my cravings for beignets and cupcakes when I was finished, but that was a small price to pay. :)

Easy With You
I am a big fan of this series, and Easy With You does such a great job of crossing over the Boudreaux and With Me in Seattle series by Kristen Proby. Asher had been introduced in Tied with Me (he's Matt's partner) and Lila in Easy Love (she's Kate's best friend), and right from the beginning, these two are awesome together!I highly recommend not just this book, but both of these series!**I've also listened to the audio, and I love getting back to Jennifer Mack and Eric Michael Summerer!

A fabulous addition to what has been an amazing series
This may have been a novella but it punched above its weight but that is only to be expected when it was penned by the masterful Kristen Proby. I admit that alongside the multitudes I am a complete devotee to her With Me in Seattle series and was devastated when it ended, not to say that I am not happy that she is bringing us a whole new host of characters in her Boudreaux series but this little beauty took me back to my comfort zone and let me revel in the “with me” days again. This is Asher’s story – you remember him – Matt’s partner from Seattle – the single dad who we were just itching to see get his happy ever after – well this is his opportunity. One night is all he and Lilia had and they followed true to the old adage that what happened in Vegas was left there but it certainly wasn’t forgottenAsher relocated with his daughter to New Orleans and takes up a position with the police department, what he doesn’t know is that Lila is also in New Orleans and is teaching at the University that is just about to become the focus of his latest investigation. In fact it is not the University but Lila herself that is the key to catching the killer – because the fixation that this lunatic has with her means that she is in more danger than she can possibly imagine. When the police turn up on campus to speak to Lila, she can barely believe her eyes when the man before her is the man that she still sees every time she closes her eyes because that one night in Vegas left a lasting impression and she has never managed to shake the gorgeous Asher from her mind. For a short story, the book had more than most, of course it was all about the pull between Asher and Lila and the development of a relationship that now they had the opportunity to pursue it was always going to see the two of them embracing it and each other with open arms but it also gave us a really great murder mystery, an intriguing whodunit, a chase to the end between Asher and the man that was hell bent on getting his hands on Asher’s woman!I loved that Asher was as alpha as I had hoped he would be, he was just such a strong, purposeful man, a stand tall single father who held no quarter in everything he did and stood tall when the going got tough.A creative, action packed read that when you take into consideration that it is a fairly quick short story, I have to say well done Kristen

Another brilliant Kristen Proby book :)
Nothing as ever come easy for Lila Bailey. She's fought for every good thing in her life during every day of her thirty one years. Aside from that one night with an impossible to deny stranger a year ago, Lila is the epitome of responsible.Steadfast, Strong. She's pulled herself out of the train wreak of her childhood, proud to be a professor as Tulane University and laying down roots in a city she's grown to love. But when some of her female students are viciously murdered, Lila's shaken to the core and unsure of whom she can trust in New Orleans. When the police detective assigned to the murder case comes to investigate, she's even more surprised to find herself staring into the eyes of the man that made her toes curl last year.In an attempt to move on from the tragic loss of his wife, Asher Smith moved his daughter and himself to a new city, ready for a fresh start. A damn fine police lieutenant, but new to the New Orleans force, Asher has a lot to prove to his colleagues and himself. With a murderer terrorizing the Tulane University campus, Asher finds himself toe to toe with the one woman that haunts his dream. His hands, his lips, his body knows her as intimately as he's ever known anyone. As he learns her mind and her heart as well, Asher wants nothing more than to keep her safe, in his bed, and in his and his daughter's lives for the long haul. But when Lila becomes the target, can Asher save her in time, or will he lose another woman he loves? Not a long story but i enjoyed it all the same as Asher shows his face in a "with me in settle book" and i've wanted to learn more about him and the lose of his wife etc just felt there could of been more. i wanted to know more although what is written is lovely and so sweet even thou the crime scene picture in my mind didn't sit well with me haha! His daughter made me laugh firecracker for sure! Worth the read thou esp if you enjoyed the "with me in settle books" Kristen Proby fantastic writer looking forward to collecting more of her books.

loved the merging between the two series.
Ahh Lila and Asher.I just adore how Kristen pulls you into the characters lives effortlessly. You think you are going to read a few pages or even chapters but before you know it - its over! all done! and you are left thinking - NO! that can't be finished.Admittedly I did not remember Asher and Casey from the With Me series, but after the first page, The Boudreaux Series and With Me series merged and I knew who was who. This was a great quick read, full of emotion, suspense, drama and plenty of heartfelt love. From falling into laps, to protecting her and getting to know one another this book have you absently devouring the pages.Their relationship was an each one, they both fell har, and even with a young daughter in the mix, this all felt just right.Enjoyed the brief catch up with Kate and Eli and Mat and Nicole.I thoroughly enjoyed this story, miss the Wiliams/Montgomery's but am enjoying the new characters - The Boudreaux Brothers, not to mention now adding New Orleans onto my vacation bucket list. Its partly your fault Kristen that I had TO visit Seattle.

An engaging story.
I am usually not a fan of novella's as the story often seems rushed and I don't understand why an author would choose to write a short story about characters that have a longer novel in them. This story however is quite a good little read. I was pleased that Asher got his own Happy Ever After. He has moved to New Orleans and is pursuing a serial killer, and the victims have been attending the same study group, which is run by Lila.Lila and Asher have met each other a year before and had really hot sex on a rare one night stand that neither have forgotten. Things develop in the case and in their lives....and lead to another enjoyable tale from an author who understands romance and sexy men. Not deep and meaningful, and yes a bit rushed. the pool of suspects is limited and obvious but although this is not as good as her full length stories it was engaging.
