McDermott Lucky L10 Pool Cue

I bought this L10 cue to use as a break stick so I did not damage my other 2 regular McDermott cues. Much to my surprise this is a pretty good quality cue. It performs very well at what I bought it for. I have not used it yet as a regular play cue but it is a great break stick. I actually get more top spin on my break with this Lucky L10 than I did with the old D9 I was using before. I am very happy with the cue. It feels good in your hands and it strikes as solidly as a solid one piece cue as would be expected with McDermott’s wood on wood joint system.One thing I want to point out is that the cue looks to be REALLY bright red in the picture; in reality it is much darker and absolutely beautiful. The color is so nice that I can pretty much guarantee the sales of this cue would increase by 20% if the color was more accurately reprenresented as this color is gorgeous and is almost identical to my Corvette’s color which is called magnetic red metallic. You will NOT be disappointed with the color.I would recommend this cue for anyone who likes a larger shaft size (it is only sold in the 13mm size) or as an inexpensive break stick. If you prefer a 12mm or 12.5mm (or something else) shaft you would have to purchase a spare McDermott shaft for about 90 bucks (this is for the standard shaft) which brings the cost of the cue to $148 so it would probably be a better option to go with a regular low end McDermott cue as they start at about $160 with no wrap and $180 with Irish linen wrap, if you prefer a smaller shaft.That being said, the standard size for all cue manufacturers is 19oz and a 13mm shaft. The Lucky series allows you some control over the weight offering 18-21 oz options but not the shaft size.This is a FANTASTIC cue for the price.

This is one of their "economy line" cues. McDermott makes really nice cues so I gave this one a chance and bought it as a present. Well it warped after a few games even without breaking with it. I recommend spend the extra cash and get something better.

The red is not as bright as I had hoped but this is a beautiful stick. Perfect for my friend's birthday present!

This pool cue was perfect my husband plays in the tournament and he won using his new pool cue the color was a little bit darker but that worked out great
