They honored their warranty
I purchased this unit in March 2024. It ran great for 1 season. I started it up for the humid season in April 2025 and it did not work, it would turn on but would not remove humidity from the air. After emailing customer support and going through a few troubleshooting processes, it was determined the unit was no longer removing moisture from the air. They sent a new one and asked that I leave a review of my experience. Because they did honor their 5 year warranty and promptly sent a replacement unit, I'm leaving 5 stars...now let's hope I get more than one season out of the replacement unit. The replacement unit is working great and dropped the humidity from 64% to 49% inside of my 1500 square foot home overnight, while humidity outside remained at 100% overnight. Humidity continues to drop the longer I leave it on as now everything in the home must dry out.

Excellent customer support team
Bought this Waykar 158 Pints Crawl Space Dehumidifier for my basement. I like that it can be ducted to blow in multiple room. It worked great for 22 months but has stop working. Waykar customer support team has been a great help to find the problem. They reply promptly with clear solutions. Unfortunatly I'll have to change the unit but they will send a free replacement.

Great customer service!!
This thing is great! Pretty quiet operation while it’s running as well. Had a small issue when it first arrived and got it powered up at my house. I contacted customer service to explain the issue. After going back and forth with their, very helpful representative, we came to a conclusion and they took care of me. Will definitely use this company again in the future if I purchase another dehumidifier.

Waykar dehumidifier are awesome!!!! Highly recommended
I purchased the of 5 Waykar 158 pint commercial dehumidifier in January 2025,It has worked wonderfully well in clients office removing the humidity and the musty smell. Unfortunately one piece has given an error reason I’m writing the review is because several weeks ago I had an error code, I contacted customer service and they responded right away. Thier technician provided me with a solution to correct the error code which I was able to do , but didnt correct the issue but the team has been given me all support to make sure i come out satisfied .This product an awesome product and as good as the customer service. And I would recommend to all my clients waykar dehumidifier are the 👌 best !!!!

Keep the box you will need to return it
Initially I thought it was a great product, upon more time passing and actually installing it I rate it very very sub par. The instructions are very vague l! I’m missing many parts, customer service takes a day to respond. Many screws where loose on unit, if all but guarantee when I finally get it going if possible it will probably be loud as hell, it’s redicoulos, no hose to drain , the all allusive yellow cap is missing which you can only get from waykar is missing. It’s going to cost me almost $125 to get the contractor to make a special trip to install it. I’m about ready to return it!!!!!! Keep your box!!! Now the unit will not go below 60% humidity, e3 code now a day later,which is bad motor!

Works as expected after receiving a replacement part
** See updated review at the end, Waykar has said that they are changing their policy on how they work with customers needing help replacing defective parts**— Original Review = 3 Stars —I have a super low ceiling crawlspace, about 12” in some places. It has a dirt floor with vapor barrier on it. The crawlspace about 900-1000 sq ft and it has a wall down the middle splitting it approximately in half. So it was a tricky situation that this unit seemed perfect for.I purchased this unit in November and I was able to manually turn on and off the unit. The dehumidifier seems to do a good job removing humidity from my crawlspace. It is not super loud. I was able to locate the unit in my basement and run the ducts for the intake and exhaust ducts in through access holes that were on either side of the dividing wall of the crawlspace. My hope was to be able to have the unit outside the crawlspace with the sensor inside the crawlspace and that way I could service the unit. And also my crawlspace was too small to fit the dehumidifier in the crawlspace.But unfortunately it was not able to work automatically which was why I purchased it. I could turn on and it would run but the remote thermostat would say that the humidity in the crawlspace was 99% and because of this the unit would constantly run. It was also displaying an E4 code from the first time I started up the unit to know. As I understand it that means the sensor is bad. I did place a separate hygrometer in the crawlspace to see what the levels actually were and as expected they were never 99%. And I could see that the dehumidifier was actually working and lowering the humidity in the crawlspace.I did not prioritize reaching out to Waykar about this issue as we had quite a lot going on in our family.I finally reached out in February and they explained that my sensor was bad and requires replacement.They also told me that as my order had been over 30 days that I had two options:#1 “The price of the humidity sensor is $25 and the shipping fee is $15. If you want to buy one from us, you need pay to our PayPal account. After that, please send us a screenshot of payment and your PayPal account to confirm. Also, please email us your shipping address, then we will arrange the replacement to you as soon as possible”#2 “ We could send you a replacement part for free if you would like to write a review to share your feelings and thoughts about my service on Amazon.Also, please send me a review screenshot to check, then I could have the right to apply for a free replacement accessory to you from my company.”As #1 made me a bit uncomfortable I’m going to try #2.I will say that I was able to get ahold of customer support via phone and they were responsive via email.So we shall see what happens after I leave this review.I’m hopeful that I get the replacement sensor, install it and the whole setup works automatically as I hope. I do wish that I didn’t have to jump through these hoops.**UPDATE**Waykar reached out to me after posting this review and apologized for the complicated process to receive replacement part. They said they are planning to make changes to their process to eliminate some of the confusing steps.They actually sent me 2 replacement sensors in case there was ever an issue.When they arrived the replacement was very easy. I crawled into the crawlspace to the access the defective sensor, unscrewed the screws and unplugged the old sensor. Then I plugged in the new sensor and put it back together. The thermostat began working correctly immediately. And it has been working ever since.The one thing I have noticed is that the humidity level rises about 5% above the set level before the dehumidifier kicks in. No big deal, I have just set it 5% below the highest level that I would want the crawlspace to rise to.Overall I think that this is good choice for this application and I am going to give it 4 stars

This is the best dehumidifier I've ever used. After three years, I encountered some issues, but Waykar's customer support was exceptional—quick to respond and genuinely attentive. They resolved everything, and now the unit is running smoothly and is remarkably quiet.
