TulipTulip Etimo Red Softgrip (1.80mm) Crochet Hook - 1 Unit

So, I’ve been using clover amour for years, they are comfortable and the brushed aluminium hook is just the best thing ever. But I saw these and I loved them, but tried to justify the premium price by telling myself these were end game crochet hooks, master level, and I wasn’t going to lose them…. So anyway, in terms of the seller they were very well packaged but it wasn’t clear when ordering what the upgraded delivery service got you, and it was signed for but not tracked, parcel took longer than expected for expedited delivery, however when it arrived I was immediately in love. The red is beautiful, and they are smoother if that is even possible than amour. But I was a bit disappointed. Firstly the crochet hooks themselves. Love the red, love the brushed metal, and the shape, but they look a bit scabby. By that, they were already marked, the sizes are stuck on labels, this set is almost £70, and it has stuck on labels! The hook shape was great, if it wasn’t for the sticker issue they would be better then clover amour, but without sizing on the product, that’s going to get confusing quickly. Next the case. It doesn’t really fold up… and there’s not really enough room for the hooks. The hooks are in a display thing that does fold up into a lovely box for the smaller hook sizes, it wasn’t immediately obvious that you don’t throw it out, but now you have a box and a case instead of just having a case that fits. I do see it says take just what you need so I suppose that’s why it’s small but the fact it doesn’t properly close. It’s also strange that it has a ruler and needles but not anything on the case for stitch markers or stitch markers included. The whole thing, is beautiful, but, it’s just missing longevity to match it up to the premium price. Because they are all the same colour unlike the colour coded amour, once the labels are off it will be a nightmare. So positive side is they are very comfortable, slightly more ergonomic than amour, but aside from clever packaging I really did expect a lot more from such an expensive product.

I have only ever used cheaper crochet hooks and always thought that all hooks are the same. I was so wrong. I was given these tulip hooks as a gift and they are so beautiful to work with. I am now on the look out for more in bigger sizes. I would recommend these hooks to anyone they are 💯 worth the money 😊

These hooks are the best. I ordered one to try and liked it so much I bought the set. They are pricey but let me tell you they're worth every penny. . I started a project with geese hooks and it was so easy and fast. So smooth, no snagging but just to see if it was me I got snither hook. Looked similar and by eye you couldn't tell a difference but when I continued crocheting with the other hook, we'll the wool split, it was slower snd more fiddly. I couldn't believe that there could be such a difference. These make crocheting anything a doddle. Really. I highly recommend them.

But unfortunately when crocheting the hook keeps slipping out of the yarn, so I don't think there the best , sorry, but they are comfy to hold just the hook isn't big enough

I guess it can be hard for people to justify spending this amount on a set of crochet hooks, and I get that.However, these hooks are very good quality and super comfortable to use.I have used them and there has been no snagging on yarn or anything negative.Go on, treat yourself 😃😃

I did some research before deciding which set to buy as my hands now are so twisted from arthritis that i need easy to hold well balanced and also easy on the eyes. The colour red seems restful and non glaring when old eyes get tired. I found Tulip Etimo Red fulfilled all of these requirements, so i took the chance and sent for a full set and i wasn’t disappointed, they really are all that is claimed and more. I couldn’t be more delighted.

Apart from being beautiful to look at they are extremely comfortable and glide through the yarn like butter love love them
