Great figure
This is a great figure! The articulation is great, like most figuarts figures, but, like people always mention, you can't really use any of it in his legs. This doesn't bother me as much as it bothers most people because the robes look fantastic, even if they do hinder articulation. You can still replace them with the black series Ren if you want to. The only real problem i have with this figure is the hood. it is very round and doesn't drape like a real hood should. It isn't a huge deal, but it is something to be aware of. You can take the hood off and he looks great like that. the head is really well done. Overall, it's a great figure if you can look past the robes and hood problems, (or if you have the black series to switch the robes with). This is the only Ren i have currently, but i think it is the one i like the best. im not a fan of the glossy black plastic used on the black series, and i don't think model kits are the right way to go for Star Wars figures, (i dont have any star wars kits, but i have lots of gundams and various other models, so i do enjoy making models and am not biased against them). If you can get this guy for around $50, i say go for it!

Great figure for the price!
Great figure. The robes don't really hinder articulation as much as folks say. You just need to push the robes out of the way as they're designed liked flaps. Its kind of how the troopers have the side pouches that are on hinges or can bend to give more articulation. I have both Kylo BS figures and neither of them have as much articulation or presence as this guy. You can get a lot of posing out of the figure and the texture is great. At this scale I prefer plastic rather than cloth so I don't mind the cloak at all.

Great Kylo Ren Figure, the Best with Modification
I am a big fan of Star Wars and of SH Figuarts figures. I own 7 figures and 4 of them are Star Wars themed so far. I have been looking at this Kylo Ren for a while and I had debated between getting this or the Black Series version for a while. I ended up getting the black series version because there were a few things I didn’t really care for on this Figuarts version and the higher price added to that, turned me away initially.I didn’t like that the hood was so rounded and stiff. It just didn’t look natural and I thought if they were going to make a rigid hood like they did, they could have made it look like a more natural flowing fabric hood. Another thing that initially bugged me as that he seemed to be very gray as opposed to black but upon receiving the figure, his coloring is actually done well despite being not straight black.I bought the Black Series version and I liked it. The soft goods for the cloak and hood were actually done pretty well for such an affordable figure. More so I really liked that the hood could be manipulated to an extent to make it flow nicer or to even be wore back and off the head. The only problem I had was that I there weren’t any hand options and the saber was designed in kind of a silly way to make the blade removable instead of just including a separate hilt. Also, the articulation on the Black Series figures were decent for the asking price but stiff and just not great.I ended up getting the Figuarts with the intention of using the cloak from the Black Series figure so keep that in mind with this review. The Figuarts came well packaged as always and out of the box the figure looked great besides my gripe with the hood. The attention to detail when it comes to the small details of the mold and the paint on the Figuarts surpasses the Black Series, not by a lot but enough where you can see the extra money is going. The Figuarts looks and feels like a quality figure. The articulation is what I expected from Figuarts. There are usually roughly 28-30+ points of articulation down to the toes and double points for the knees and elbows. The articulation here is a little stiffer than some of the other Figuarts I have, but not too hard to work with and in general the figure poses very well. The accessories are somewhat limited but like many of the Star Wars figures, there isn’t a whole lot of accessories that they could logically add without just trying to throw unrelated stuff into the box. I still wish that Figuarts would include some sort of stand for their figures even if it was just a foot peg base of some sort to add to posing and improve stability overall. It comes with a selection of hands in the force hold position, fist, and saber hold for each hand and it comes with a saber and two saber hilts. One of the hilt is for attaching to his belt and the other is for him to hold the hilt. I appreciate two extra hilts here and the deployed saber looks really nice and much better in my opinion than the Black series version. The figure I have right now is a 5 star figure but that figure uses the cloak and hood of the Black Series with everything else from the Figuarts version. It was not at all hard to do this modification and if you’re willing to do it, I personally believe the end result is worth it because it improves the look and increases the posability with the soft cloak. The figure out of the box gets 4 stars because I just don’t like the look of the hood and the hands can be a major pain to put back on without feeling like you’re going to break the arms. Even if you’re unwilling to do the Black Series modification, I think the figure is still a great one and worth picking up so either way I can easily recommend this quality Kylo Ren figure to collectors or Star Wars fans.(Note) all posed pictures are after modifying with the Black series cloak. I can answer questions about the mod but it can also be looked up easily on the internet otherwise. It does require cutting of parts of the other figure but nothing too bad.

I love this figure
I love this figure! The articulation is fantastic, detail is spot-on, and the extra pieces allow you to put this guy in poses for just about every scene from the movie. The cons are few. The hood is large and unnatural-looking, and the bottom robe pieces are stiff. In the pics I provided, i’ve switched the hood and skirt pieces with the Black Series robe (credit to (credit to “The Fwoosh” from YouTube for that idea) and the scarf with a Black Series scarf, so it looks a bit different from the original product, but overall i’m pleased. It took a bit longer than expected to arrive at my place, but the seller communicated with me frequently, so i can happily recommend him as a Japanese dealer!

I ordered this figure and am very confused, it's supposed to come with a hood like in the picture on the back but did not come with one. Although it's an awesome figure I am disappointed that it didn't come with the hood.

first thing you'll need to know is that the robes suck. Doesn't mean the figure sucks
So if you're thinking about buying this, first thing you'll need to know is that the robes suck. Doesn't mean the figure sucks. But an easy fix is to use the Black Series Kylo Ren's robes, and you'll have the most badass Kylo you can buy on the market.

Excellent figure, some of the hands are difficult to swap and attach, good scale and detail. If you remove the head or body can be hard to get everything to pop back together.
