I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews on some of this seller's (eComElectronics) products. Several folks have complained of receiving a replacement battery that was not the item described (or they didn't read the description carefully). I carefully reviewed replacement batteries for my APC Backups ES 500VA (BE500U) unit and found out that many folks have ordered batteries from many different sellers (including eComElectronics) and then found out that the terminal size was incorrect. I have used Power Sonic batteries in the past, and have found them to be top notch in quality and longevity, and was specifically looking for this battery. eComElectronics had the very best price on this battery, and it is the exact replacement for any APC unit that uses the RBC2 (APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #2) in specs and dimensions. The terminal size (F2 - also called T2) is 1/4" wide and is the issue when many buy batteries for replacing the APC RBC2. The most popular battery sold on Amazon for replacement of the RBC2 is the UB1270 battery, and it does NOT have F2 terminals (it has F1 terminals that are smaller). Many complaints are because of loose fitting connections between the battery terminals and the battery cables. The difference in the size of the terminals is the reason (F1 vs. F2) for this. If you want a top quality battery that replaces the APC RBC2 battery, you can feel confident that eComElectronics will ship this exact battery, and it will fit and work perfect in any APC device that uses the RBC2. The price can't be beat and shipping was lightning fast. I will definitely be using eComElectronics for future purchases of my UPS battery needs. Be sure to read the descriptions of their batteries very carefully, and make sure you know what you need before ordering. Some of the batteries they sell are, in fact, replacement batteries for the items pictured (as noted in the written descriptions), not the battery pictured. This is NOT the case with this item.

My house alarm just wouldn’t stop beeping every day. I finally realized it was this battery to replace. Worked great. Old battery lasted since 2017, so I’m sure I’ll replace it again in a other 8 years

7 years of good use. Highly recommend.
Just want to note that I bought this exact listing in May of 2018, and I'm just now replacing it in Oct of 2025. I probably SHOULD have replaced it sooner, but it was still holding a bit of a charge when power flickered. Its easy to install, and fits perfectly into, and is compatible with, my old APC Backups 400.

Look at the terminals
Battery came fast and was packaged securely. Just make sure you notice or look to see if you need the F2 or F1 terminal for this type of battery. The difference between F1 and F2 terminals is their width. You will need to get adapters if you purchase the F2 and you need the F1 terminals. When you only purchase this type of battery every few years, it is something you could overlook. I went to the local battery store near me, and they placed the adapters on for free even though I did not buy the battery from them. They even recycled my old battery.

Substandard for this make/model of battery
Very disappointed. I have used this make/model of battery for many years. This one arrived scratched, dented and would not hold a charge. It may have been used, rather than new. The return process was convoluted.

I replaced a dead battery in my APC UPS with this one and so far it is working fine. The original battery lasted about 5 years and so time will tell if this one will last as long. One little grip is that the battery supplied did not match the photo shown and was from a different unknown supplier and not Power Sonic, which is a more widely recognized brand.

Le quedó perfecto a mi bocina recargable Samson xp106, ya no le duraba mucho la carga a la anterior (2 horas) pero con esta batería recargable nueva, otra vez le dura hasta 6 horas de uso continuo.

Came before the delivery expected date. Battery life is long. It’s been over a month and I haven’t had to charge it yet.
