Beautiful Harmony.
Brownstone was one of the best girl groups of the 90s. Vocally speaking right up there with En Vogue as far as harmonies. They sound like angels from a church choir. Nikkis' leads and Maxis' sensual voice are top notch. My personal favorite is 5 miles from empty.

Good selection of Brownstone's music
Good selection of Brownstone's music, but since it only features the radio edits of the songs, the extended mixes that really display their vocal talent are missing. Some of the tracks feel unfinished if you have heard the originals. Still a good cd to have on hand when you're craving that nineties vibe.

If you love Brownstone, you'll Love this CD!
I've been a Brownstone fan since the beginning, when they we're the new big thing on Michael Jackson's MJJ music label. If you like this trio's soulful, pitch-perfect harmonies, spine-tingling renditions of classics, you must have this compilation in your collection. From "Five Miles to Empty" and "Grapevine" to covers of "I Can't Tell You Why," these ladies can sang! And "If You Love Me" is absolute perfection. Remember Holly Hunter's ecstasy dance to this song in the film "Living Out Loud"? Bottom line... If you're a Brownstone fan and don't have all of their CD's, this is the one for you!
