Very Impressed!
[WT-AF-5v10w 802.3af PoE Splitter With 5 Volts Output]Needed a direct power solution (no adapters, etc.) for an Axis camera that was not PoE.I did not want to use passive injection and have to worry about supplying different voltages at the source. This product was the perfect solution and the quality is obvious, as well.I'm no novice when it comes to electronics and/or networking (35 year EE/CompE) and it's amazing how many people don't know what they're buying and the sellers take advantage of that. MANY, if not most, of the "802.3af compliant" injectors I have seen are actually PASSIVE injectors, which, by definition, are NOT 802.3af compliant. It's also a good way for a neophyte to ruin their equipment since there is no standard. They also use the correct term "compatible" but never explain that is not the same as "compliant."In any event, this is a truly compliant device that negotiates Mode A/B PoE (Ver. 5) from the power sending device and then Buck converts it to 5V, 2000mA.This could never be done with a linear regulator with a passive 48V injection. Even with 12V passive injection, as much power would be dropped in the regulator as in the device and that just won't work.

Does what it's intended
I've been using Amcrest POE splitters for years. They work well but are much too fragile, one small thunder storm and they'll blow out. Anyway, they were getting difficult to find, but by chance I discovered this splitter. I got one to see if it would work and it did. It's smaller in size than the Amcrest which is a good thing. I'm happy with this purchase, and all that remains is to determine its durability. If it is, I plan to buy several more. So far, an excellent product.

Works with Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA 2.0
Contacted Texas PoE by email...very quick response and customer service. I asked them which adapter would work with my Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA 2.0 adapters. They recommend this one.Simply plug and play. It’s nice being able to eliminate a few wall wart power supplies!

Works for Amcrest, but PS tip longer
I am using this to power Amcrest IP cameras and works great. For Amcrest users be advised that this product out of the box has a male power adapter that's tip is about twice as long as the tip Amcrest uses so it will hang out a bit. I dont really want to use an add on adapter; maybe a shorter tip model is or will be available?

Really nice for powering non-PoE devices using PoE :)
I'm using one of these to power a garage door opener 'internet gateway' - The gateway can be hidden away in the garage attic where there's no power outlet, but using this allows me to power the device over the same ethernet cable that's used to connect it to the network. Really nice way to power devices where you have network but no power. Future plan for another one of these: powering an Ooma telephone adapter, so I can maintain a phone line when the power to the house is out (my PoE switch is backed with a beefy UPS so network, wireless and any PoE devices will at least work for some period of time while the power's out) - it's also nice because it means my Ooma device, for example, won't need to commandeer a power outlet in a tight spot where I want fewer wires.

Make sure your PoE injector is good before using
At first I had an issue with this device pulsating between 5v and 3v DC. Turned out to actually be the PowerDsine PoE injector I was using. I plugged this device into a real PoE switch from work and the problem went away. Then I plugged it into a newer PoE injector I had here at the house and the problem continued to stay away. Word to the wise: only use with a PoE switch or a known good PoE injector. The PowerDsine injector I had did NOT like this device. All in all it does what I need it to do so I’m happy.

Gigabit PoE splitter, bringing DC power into your environment.
I own a couple dozen of these from POE Texas, and I've used them to replace powerbricks anywhere I can get PoE. It's amazing how much easier it can be to get ethernet instead of 120v ac somewhere.I've run these in hot and cold environments without any problems.Using these, I've simplified my wiring, I've reduced my risk of shock, I've become more eco friendly by not converting power everywhere, and most of my equipment back-hauls to a PoE switch on a UPS.

Product worked good for my non-poe Foscam Camera's
Product worked good for my non-poe Foscam Camera's. I ordered 5 of them and 1 of them did have some sort of intermittent fault where it would seem to die off.
