Alpicool T36 Dual Temperature Control Portable Refrigerator 38 Quart Compact Fridge Mini Freezer Use-12/24V DC and 110-240V AC

Love this! It is a bit larger than I thought but that’s a good thing! It holds lots of items and is perfect for camping, or like me - I spend lots of time traveling and staying in multiple hotels in a week. It allows me to eat better and also save leftovers & keep snacks handy in the car since I don’t always have access to a grocery store or place to eat. It works great and is energy efficient. I use a GoLabs battery solar generator with it and it can run up to 24 hours without recharging!

Was sent a faulty t36 unit. The "dual zones" do not function. Unit is either a fridge or a freezer, not both.If I attempt to use the dual zones, the temperature sensor on the freezer zone reads at 3 degrees fahrenheit above whatever you set the temperature at. This means the compressor never turns off and the unit freezes everything inside it, even if the refrigerator zone is set to 50 degrees.Even as a freezer this wouldn't work long. The compressor running nonstop means that it would burn out in less than a month.I've contacted Alpicool, and will update the review if/when I hear back from them.*UPDATE*I was able to reach Alpicool through Amazon. They did not respond to emails sent to 2 different email addresses, I chatted with someone on their Facebook page that gave me one of the email addresses that got no response, and the phone numbers associated with the company are a call to China. It is possible that they didn't respond to the emails because they responded via Amazon (my problem was pretty specific, and I described it the same way in all my communications with them).They got back to me within 24 hours and offered some tech support suggestions. That didn't solve the issue, and I asked for a refund or replacement. After another 24 hours they sent me a shipping label, and said they would refund me.It looks like I just got a dud. I do have one of their other fridge/freezers (the C20) and haven't had any problems with it. I added a star to the review for the responsive customer service.*2nd UPDATE*Was refunded for the first non functioning unit. I went ahead and got another one. The new one works perfectly. I have used it as both a dual zone and as a single zone. Dual zones uses more power (lasted about 24 hours running on my Bluetti Maxoak AC50 - 500Wh), and while the fridge zone is cooling down, the freezer zone is also cooling, but when the freezer zone is cooling down, the fridge zone is not cooling. This is likely to keep from freezing items in the fridge zone.I would like to see more efficiency minded software that adjusts what zone is cooling when (if the fridge zone is above the set temperature, but not so much that it triggers the compressor, but the compressor is running anyway for the freezer zone, then the fridge zone cooling should be activated anyway to save on power consumption). Running in such a way would extend the life of the unit as well, as the compressor would kick on less often.It is a small gripe. For the price, you can't beat this unit. I use it in my Kia Soul when it's set up as a micro-camper. The photos show there's plenty of room in both sections (even more if you take out the cages). In the freezer section I also have some frozen chicken breasts and frozen hamburgers under the frozen veggies.

The temperature controls work great keeping foods either frozen or at the temperature you want.

We bought this to keep temperature-sensitive medication cold on a road trip. So far, working like a charm.The called for temp is frequently a couple of degrees off from what our inside thermometer reads.

This is exactly what I expected to get. After watching many reviews, I am very pleased with the purchase. However, the programming is very confusing. I have downloaded the app and the Bluetooth will not connect. I have been experimenting with the controls and think I have them basically figured out but the instruction manual should be very much clearer. I am 60 years old and the printing and the font is so tiny that even my reading glasses could not read it. I had to take a picture on my camera and enlarge it. The unit works very well but it does have fluctuations in the temperature control. As I only use it for short term storage, that's not really important for now. If I had to use it seriously I would consider this to be detrimental. I haven't owned this fridge very long so only time will tell about the durability.

Doesn’t work and now I’m out of this money because I can’t return it.

I bought this to use in my semi. It worked great for about 6 months. Then the freezer side started to get warm and the fridge side started freezing stuff, no matter what the temperatures were set at. I took the divider out and just used it as a fridge for a while, but everything on the right gets warm and goes bad and everything on the left get frozen. I can’t seem to get ahold of anyone at Alpicool to address this issue. Customer service is horrible.
