Coming from someone who has debilitating GI issues, among many other things, the only thing I can really eat and enjoy anymore is white rice and lightly seasoned chicken. For a quick and easy prep, this stuff is amazing. I love the texture, its not soft and soggy and all clumped together like a lot of the rice packages usually are in my opinion and I like the taste as well. Great value for money on top of everything!

I've been trying to eat cleaner, which has proven to be very challenging, particularly with prepared/packaged foods. When I discovered that the Royal Lemon, Garlic and Herb rice got a Green (good) 72/100 rating in the app I use, I couldn't get it into my shopping cart fast enough. I had a pouch for lunch today, and I was absolutely thrilled with it! I microwaved it in the pouch (super easy to prepare). It broke apart easily (typically an indication of freshness) and both the rice and the chick peas were perfectly cooked. Not over or under done. The flavor is rich and very satisfying; lemon and garlic are staples in my kitchen, so this super convenient side dish will will be on my table often. I can't wait to try the other flavors!

Taste great. Not too salty. Goes well with the Bombay potatoes. Satisfied with this purchase.

Dry after cooking, bland flavor, and small, hard beans---"chickpeas," according to the package, but they don't look or taste like them. They're brown on the package, but black when cooked. I followed cooking directions but the beans were room temperature (the rice was hot) and not the least bit softer than dried.

Zero prep stress. Pure microwave mayhem. Four pouches? Not enough. I need a pallet. Maybe a bunker full. VERDICT: This isn't a side dish. This is a main character moment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Would eat during a thunderstorm, a breakup, or while planning world domination.

This is decent, but unfortunately at least for us, it's a bit dry. Follow the instructions which is of course simple for this type of product. Cooked for 90 seconds and let's sit for a couple of minutes to finish and cool a bit before opening. It's not bad. It's just a bit on the dry side and required a little bit of sauce that I have to mix with it to bring back some moisture and flavor. As with any product like this it has a lot of sodium but it also does have a lot of fiber. Not sure if I will buy it again, though.

Cooking method? Easy. The texture and taste? Okay by me.
