Surprisingly comfy straight out the box — solid walking boots
Grabbed these XPETI Crest Thermo boots because I needed something warm and half-decent for winter walks, and honestly they impressed me way quicker than I expected. They fit comfortably right out the box — no horrible break-in period where your heels feel like they’re being sanded down. The padding around the ankle is really soft too, so you don’t get that rubbing you sometimes get with cheaper boots. They’re warm without feeling sweaty, which is a nice balance. Wore them on a muddy trail and through a couple of annoying puddles and they held up fine — feet stayed dry, grip felt solid, and they didn’t slide around on wet leaves (which is usually where I end up face-planting). The soles have that firm-but-cushioned feel, enough support to stop your feet getting tired halfway through the walk. Build quality seems decent as well — stitching looks good, nothing peeling off, and they feel sturdier than the price would suggest. Only thing is they’re not the lightest boots in the world, but honestly once you’re walking you don’t notice it. If you want a warm, reliable pair of walking boots that don’t need two weeks of breaking in, these are actually a really solid shout.

Great Winter boots!
Bought these around Xmas time. Very comfortable to wear, look stylish, and so far so good. A little disappointed with the grip of the sole though. Tried them on the ice a few weeks ago, and while I stayed upright, I didn't have any great confidence in the boots to stay on the ice long. Maybe they just need to wear in for a while. Only other slight concern, the laces are very thin, and you have to pull them tight and use the stopper to maintain the tightness. I have never had laces like them before, on any hiking boots that I have owned. I just hope they last a long time. Overall a great buy. Will come back at a later date to add to this review.

Excellent
So they look great. They feel really comfortable. The pull lace system is excellent. They are very light on your foot but feel substantial. Haven't tried them out yet but if they are as waterproof as they say they will be the best booti have had!

Extremely good boots.
I purchased these boots a little while ago and I have to admit that I didn’t hold much hope. I’m a regular walker and I’m out everyday in all weathers with my Labrador. In the past I’ve always opted for the bigger known brands, Columbia, Merrell etc but I’m fed up of paying good money and not getting a waterproof boot. So I thought I’d go for something different this time and try a different, date I say, lesser known brand. I bought this pair alongside another pair from the same brand, very similar design but when I tried them on the other pair were too rigid in the ankle section. This pair have got the right level of support in the ankle without the back of your calf being dug into. The soles are good and sturdy but flexible. These boots have the thermal lining so are lovely and warm on those cold days. The boots feel nice and snug without being constricting. So far they have also stayed waterproof, now I haven’t been wading through any streams or rivers, just long wet grass or muddy paths, but that was still enough for my other branded boots to fail. So it’s a definite yes from me considering the price, I mean their not cheap but still under the £100 mark for a decent boot. In regards to longevity, only time will tell.

Very warm, but not for long hikes.
Boots are really warm, but a little hard underfoot and could not go above 10k without a risk of blisters. Demoted to a fishing boot for the bank, really warm and the tie up system works brilliant.

To boots
These are boots are great. Very comfortable. I'm on my feet all day and can do upto 25000 steps a day, mostly on concrete and these are great for that. Plus I walk my dog in them and have never had any trouble with wet feet. True size fit as well. The lacing system is also very good, with the pull cord system. So slip them up, pull the cord and your done. Will definitely purchase again when needed. Had the boots for10 months down the line now and they are leaking. A real shame. Thought these would last a lot longer. Such a good boot but let down by water tightness.

Disappointed ☹️
Very comfortable boots, however after very little use the rubber has started peeling away from the boots. Disappointed as they advertised as hiking boots and should be robust.
