Perfect for Ferret playtime!
The media could not be loaded. Our ferrets love this octopus. We had to replace our elephant one and this was perfect. They play hard with it then fall asleep inside it.

Ferrets love this toy
What a blast, great quality, large ferret toy that was definitely worth the money.

Cute, but I prefer the through way/tunnel.
I wish the arms would stand up a little more on their own/hold form. More often than not they go in the end then come out the hole in the middle of the arm/leg and it takes them a minute to figure out how to get back into the tunnel. Good quality/well made. The material is porous cloth and I haven't had to clean it yet, but mostly likely will do fine on the handwash setting of the washer machine. They seem to enjoy playing in it but, they do like the through way more. They play in/with this a lot, however it doesn't hold their attention like the through way/tunnel does.

Love the color :)
So glad I got a blue octopus this time!!! Few years ago I purchased one for 2 girl ferrets - now almost 7 years old - and that octopus happened to be red. Now I have two more ferrets (boys, both 6 months old), so the blue color octopus was right on spot! Love it!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS ALMOST KILLED MY FERRET!!!!
I am BEGGING you to remove this product for safety reasons. This particular product almost killed my ferret several days ago. I had to cut open this toy and pull his limp, gasping body from it and rush him to the closest emergency vet while performing cpr on him the whole way. I am one of the lucky ones as I found him just in the nick of time. I see other reviews indicating the same horrific thing happened and I am not sure of the outcome. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop selling this immediately!!! My ferret was able to tear apart the inside lining and he was entangled and complete stuck with zero room or air to breathe between the liner, foam, and outer fabric. I have no idea how long my sweet boy was stuck in this toy before I found him seconds from death. It could have been minutes or hours, I do not know. What I do know is that I would hate for anyone else to buy this utterly tempting, ferret loving toy, only to find their little buddy dead. I hope you will read the other reviews that I did along with my testimony, and immediately take this off of your site. This toy is a death trap! Thank you for reading this far and I hope you will do the right thing.

Could be better
I know that every ferret has a different personality, so I won't judge this toy based on how much my ferret Chloe likes it. I will refer to the quality and features of the product. The Octo-Play is a big toy, so be prepared to reserve some room for it. It's over two feet in diameter (with arms extended). That in itself may or may not pose a problem, but my concern is that the arms are made of soft fabric, and they collapse as a result, basically lying flat on the floor. Therefore, the holes that are placed on each arm are not readily accessible, unless the ferret goes inside the toy and tries to find his/her way out from within. I saw my ferret attempting to use the holes from outside, and she gave up. It is not a good sign when a ferret gives up, we all know it, They are stubborn little mavericks, very inquisitive, and they love to explore. There are holes at the end of each arm, and they are being held open by some hard rings concealed inside the fabric, but this does not solve the problem. The fabric of the arms is so soft, that the arms do not look like tunnels at all, so they don't have any appeal to the ferret. The only reason I am giving three stars (and not less) to this product is because the body of the octopus is puffed up nicely. The ferret will gladly hop on it to flatten it, and that's perhaps the main attraction of this toy. But once the body is flattened, you will have to stick your hand inside it to puff it up once more. Then your ferret will go back at jumping on it. If you don't, the ferret will immediately lose interest and move onto another distraction.I thought that the product was cheap when I first saw it online, but now that I have it in my hands I think it's rather expensive for what it does, and for its quality.

Lieber nicht
völlig überteuert. Auf keinen Fall für Frettchen geeignet da die Armhöhlen viel zu eng sind, da passt noch nicht mal ein Meerschweinchen durch.

Unsafe without alterations! Instructions for alteration to make it rat-safe
Many of the reviews on the US site claimed this was dangerous for their pets, and I can see why. The lining is very easy to tear and it would be easy for pets to catch their limbs in. Additionally, the foam is easy to tear as well and could easily make a BIG mess and, if ingested, be fatal.HOWEVER if you are good at sewing and have a lot of time on your hands you can do what I did to make it safe for my rats:Turn the body inside outCut out all the lining with a pair of scissorsTear out the foam (this is very easy to do by hand, remember to get all the bits round the seams and edges as any ingestwd could be dangerous). At this point the only layer of fabric lining all the inside should be the outermost layer.Sew a couple of layers of fleece into the base of the body (once a couple of holes are nibbled toes and feet could get caught in them. Reinforcing with fleece will help prevent this as well as let this toy last longer between cleans due to better absorbance)Lastly: cut a slit in the end of each leg and feed the plastic hoop out - your pet could get caught in these.Optional: I used an eyelet punch and seam ripper to make eyelet holes in the top of the head and the end of each tentacle, this makes it easier to hang it up and make it an exciting toy.Note - I am not familiar with ferrets so if you have bought this for ferrets your mileage may vary, but the above done properly should make it safe for rats. This was originally purchased by my partner who was not aware of the potential dangers - unless you are good at sewing and REALLY want this toy in your cage then there are better alternatives out there. Also the legs are a little thin for some male rats. Also he is a Quintopus. I have named him Quincy.
