Only one drawback on this item
I needed to get my bike mounted up and out of the way, and this device seemed perfect with the 14" standoff from the wall.Couple of things to be noted:1. It HAS to mount to a stud. Do NOT mount it straight to drywall. I missed the stud on my first attempt, and when I mounted up the bike it came right back out of the wall. Spackling compound works wonders in a case like this. I re-calibrated my stud finder and found the middle of the stud. Mounted up no problem and held the bike without a problem.2. It has a 40# weight capacity. Most bikes nowadays are not that heavy so it should not be a problem.3. The arms are 14" long so make sure from the center of your handlebar post to the end of the handlebar is less then this and you won't have a problem.4. This is the little drawback I had, but it was enough to lose a star. The bracket will swing up to 45 degrees left or right. There is a locking nut for you to lock it where you want it. Unfortunately, no matter how tight I tightened the locking nut, the bike still tilted to the right instead of staying level. Maybe some LocTite Red will do the trick, but this should not have to be done. You can see the lean to the right in the photo (and yes I DID straighten out the handle bars..LOL)All in all it is worth the money if you need to raise your bike off the ground, if you can live with the swing on the arms. It may not happen on all of this model but it happened on my. Still worth the purchase.

writing titles is the hardest part of a review
I love how you can adjust the height of the hooks to have the bicycle wheels be horizontal, to keep one tire from dipping down. After all, you're putting it on the wall to get it out of the way, and probably want to put something underneath it.However, I don't understand the purpose of having the ability of pushing the hooks up to get them out of the way. For one thing, they don't stay up, so that feature doesn't work at all. Also, when you are taking the bike off and the hook is kind of in the pinch where two pieces of bike frame come together, then the bottom frame will push up against the hook, making it hard to get off because the hooks are now moving with the bike. This is my only complaint, and I took off a star. Fix this and five stars, easy.As far as the distance from the wall, it sticks out 15" to accommodate mountain bike / regular bike handlebars, so if you have only road bikes, it may stick out more than what you expect.

Cheap screws - Easily stripped - Otherwise would be 5/5
Product is perfect minus the 3 low quality screws to put it in the wall. Slight resistance going into a 2 by 4 they stripped.

Stud-Finder Important
As long as you have a stud-finder and the proper tools, this is going to be extremely useful to you! I absolutely love mine. We had to bring my bike in to our one-bedroom apartment and I'm now using it as functional decor and could not be more happy with it. Super adjustable, and very, very nice to have my bike inside and off the ground.

Serves the purpose of storing bikes in a limited amount of space
I like that it remains to keep my bike held on the garage wall without it falling yet and is serving the main purpose I bought it for was to make room to store 2 bikes in a limited amount of space. The cons: longer screws were needed for install instead of the ones included, as some reviews had warned about. Also, in order to get the bike off and out of the rack, it needs to be tilted in and up enough and sometimes another person is needed to hold the rack down to maneuver the bike up and off the rack. It has scratched the paint on the bike plenty but probably is due to fighting with it a little to lift it high enough off the hooked part of the mount. As expected for the money paid.

Yes and no
I modified this bracket to work to hold a forty pound bike. this design is not failsafe. The support bracket purposely is designed to lower and lie flat on the wall. The sellers believe wrongly that the one ‘thru bolt’ if really tightened will keep it up and it would not fall, causing the bike to drop to the floor. I fixed this by drilling thru the hole above the point of rotation, and used a 5 in wood screw to that went fully through the stud. With is modification, the support will hold maybe 80 lobs, but of course the support will not lie flat to the wall. IF you have a light bike, no problem. But go to the hardware store and get decent screws. As modified, it is a perfect support for a bike. Sorry, must also add that the rotation that might be of interest for step thru would not work, however, i just added a cross beam - as used with auto racks for holding the bike horizontally.

Perfect. Simple. And clean.
This bike rack is perfect.I had my bike taking up space in my apartment and needed a solution. It took me a year to finally decide on where to put the bike and then decide on a bike rack. I didn’t know what worked well for a beach cruiser bike. Most bikes and bike racks show kinda the typical mountain bikes that have a straight bar across the bike. So I wasn’t sure about my bike. Then I wasn’t sure about the bikes weight. It’s pretty heavy. But this bike rack is working perfectly. My bike fit perfectly on my wall. And is holding up. Glad I settled on this bike rack.

Good Product, but could be sturdier.
I mounted this directly to a stud wall in my yard shed, but I used some better torx head screws that I had on hand from another project. The included mounting screws are fine, but I never used Philips heads if I can avoid them. The clearance from the wall is about an inch too short for my handlebars, but the open stud wall leaves some room for my mountain bike. The tilting feature is great.I do not recommend that you hang this system anywhere near a walking path where someone might be tempted to use your hanging bike as a handle or railing. This rack can hold my bike just fine, but it wouldn't take much strength to accidentally hang or lean on it and buckle the cantilever support rods. This shouldn't be a problem for me because I have it on the back wall above the lawn mower for the winter.Again, it's a good product, but consider something sturdier near a walking area, or especially if you use this in a house with kids that might try to hang on it.
