Wasn't sure how this could work any better than just buzzing into your mouthpiece, but was I surprised!I've done the normal buzzing we all have, and my issue always was never being able to "find" a staff C or a G (or whatever note), much less anything higher up the scale unless I had my tuner. I could then find pitch, and go from there.Once I put this in the lead pipe, and held my horn up it was very natural. I could immediately buzz any note I wanted, and it was there. Holding the horn gives you the normal"feel" of playing and everything falls into place. A quick flip of the device, and your mouthpiece is in and you are centered on pitch.This will be a nice addition to my warmup, or practice routine.Thanks KGU Brass!

This is a lot more convenient to use than the berp. This does not require you to attach it to your lead pipe. Simply insert into lead pipe and use the other hole for your mouthpiece and buzz. Nice design as well.

The media could not be loaded.  The TET is affordable at $19.00 USD and is durable. I liked how it easily fits into the mouthpiece receiver and lets trumpet players work on their valve work as well as pitch work. It doesn’t have any extra resistance than playing on a mouthpiece alone, though, so sometimes it doesn’t speak as well as another product like the Berp with adjustable holes allows. It looks clean and durable and is lightweight. I think it does the job well of getting trumpet players to practice music on the mouthpiece while also working on note fingerings. The mouthpiece slides farther into the receiver of the TET than it would on the instrument, so my mouthpiece got scratched on the shank and looks like I used pliers on it, which is really unfortunate. The TET needs some sort of gasket on it to protect the mouthpiece.

James Stamp literally wrote the book on mouthpiece practice, and I've been using his exercises since the '80s with good results. The Trumpet Embouchure trainer allows us to buzz the mouthpiece with the trumpet, ensuring that the angle against our lips is identical to that when playing the trumpet. It is easy to quickly switch to having the mouthpiece shank in the instrument to check pitch and back again. It doesn't fit all mouthpiece blanks but is no problem with a standard Bach or Yamaha mouthpiece.Good value for an excellent practice aid.

This is an accessory for the trumpet that employs an elegant economy of design to solve a need. I like that it is simple and solidly constructed and you don't have to "attach" it to your instrument.
