whole walnut preserve (варенье из грецких орехов) from Georgia

I once tried walnut preserve made locally when I was a child. 20 years later, we were passing by a walnut orchard on my way to take the MCAT and was reminded of the incredible taste of this preserve. This product is no exception. It taste just like the one I tried 20 years ago – Yes, I still remember the taste. The juice tastes like maple syrup and can be used on pancakes as well. I just wish the shipping cost wasn't too high, although the item is reasonably priced.

I have purchased these walnut preserves before and they were really good. They are made out of unripe walnuts (picked before the shell starts to form in the green outer layer), then preserved in a sugar syrup. They are firm but chewable. The last jar I bought was impossible to chew. The walnuts were too mature when preserved and had the shell already forming inside the green outer shell. Eating preserved walnut shells is just about as bad as it sounds. I'll have to try another brand.

Amazing taste of real walnut jam. Very authentic. Just finished the first bottle, going to order two more.Guys, if you are ordering for the first time, don't write reviews like "3 stars, good but not my taste."Jam has the perfect taste and quality, as it should be. One third of the jar was crystalized sugar rather than the normal sugar syrup. Sugar was so hard that it could not be broken to extract the individual walnuts. Very dissatisfied with a poorly made product.

Its a little too juicy for my taste. The nuts are crunchy and pretty much in a sugar syrup. Wasn't bad but not what i expected

Very, very good quality. Some walnuts were little bit overripe for such type of jelly and the peel was hard, what is why some nuts had to be thrown out. But syrup was delicious and most walnuts were soft and tasty. Will buy it again.

Walnuts are in just about every Georgian dish. So I knew I'd love this preserve, but I didn't expect WHOLE WALNUTS in it! What an incredible flavor treat. It's very sweet, with a thick syrup texture. Until you find a whole walnut, and the nut flavor becomes more intense. Wholeheartedly recommended!
