I've been dyeing my graying hair for many years now, and the most annoying part is that the gray (or, more accurately, white) always grows out first right up front, next to my eyes, where it makes my whole face look washed out. And the part that grows in first is definitely what they call "resistant grays": it doesn't take my regular hair color (Madison Reed) easily, and it's hard to color it down to the roots without dyeing half my face, too. Even right after I've dyed it, those tufts in front look paler than the rest.But this product? Solved the issue! It gives VERY thorough coverage, VERY fast; it blends in perfectly with my all-over color; and it doesn't fade over the coming weeks. Of course, it smells much more intensely of ammonia than I'm used to, too, but that's the price you pay for a quick application of a lot of pigment, I guess.Anyway, thanks, fellow Amazon reviewers! I bought this based on your fervent recommendations, and you 100% did not let me down.

Have this on a monthly subscription. It does a great job at covering up the white hairs at the root. Quick and easy application. Usually leave it on my hair for 15 minutes before rinsing it out. Typically lasts for 6-8 washes before color starts to slowly fade

WOW! I am so impressed with this product - it covered up my grey hairs with incredible ease.Upon application, it was burning my scalp, but immediately went away once I rinsed.This product is great!

I love this root color for a quick fix. I was away from home and noticed a grays around the fame of my face and side part. I’m vain. I used as directed but left on for additional 10 minutes because I have resistant grays. Use with cation if u have sensitive scalp or with any other dye. Do a test area first. As I did have residue of the dye on my ears. I used neutrogena facial wipes worked great. I also put a little Aquaphor or Vaseline around my hairline and ears so no stain of hair color. I left off 1 star because it’s only lasted 2 hair washes. This might just be my experience. Being the cost of root color in a Salon I would use this product in a pinch or between Salon visits.

I love this stuff! I haven't had my hair done by a stylist in a year, I just keep touching up my new growth (roots).Then I use a colored conditioner on my hair and it saves me so much from the salon!!! Love it!

This works really well to cover grey roots in between expensive salon visits. I've been using it for at least 5 years. It used to be very gentle and never burned when applied. I think they changed the formula, because now it burns my scalp within the first few minutes of applying. The burning does subside with rinsing, and does not damage the scalp. But I will not use again due to the burning. Shame on Loreal for changing the formula after I had many years of successful use.

I had spinal surgery so I have not been able to be in a salon shampoo bowl for 12 weeks. I have always used Aveda products so I was incredibly worried about finding something that was a quality product, as well as something that would cover my “ dirty gray” without turning my hair platinum or a shade to far off from mine. this was perfect! I am thrilled with the results. Additionally the cost is an amazing bargain!
