In March 2025 we purchased the Daway C40 seat from "Daway Direct" on Amazon as a replacement for a Crane exercise bike seat which had cracked. It arrived very quickly and fitting was straight forward. It comes with a spanner to tighten it onto the 22mm bike stem but you may need a bigger spanner or socket wrench to make fitting easier as it does require a bit of force to make it really tight. It is very comfortable and my wife who uses it every day says she is very happy with it. It also came with a rain cover which would be handy if fitted to a road bike. Overall it seems to be a quality product and well made. My biggest fear when purchasing this sort of product online is that is could be a cheap copy but the warranty registration, quality of product and support website all point to a genuine item.

As a plus-sized woman who used to experience a lot of tailbone pain and thigh run when riding, this bicycle seat is really comfy and allows me to bike for longer periods of time. It’s a really excellent quality that I didn’t quite expect to be honest. Really solid and well-made. Easy to install. Would recommend and buy again!

This bike is truly a game changer. I recently decided to start biking to work. On the second day using my bike, I literally had to get off twice and walk because my butt was so soar. I know many, if not everyone, who share this same problem. Right after that second day, I started searching for the best wide bike seat. I was hesitating between two. This one and another and I’m so happy I went with this one. It’s wide, it’s comfortable. Not to hard, not to soft. I honestly thought the springs under the seat were pointless but they’re not ! It’s been over a week I’m using it and I haven’t had to get off and walk yet lol Now, this seat is no lazy-boy. I can say, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being unbearable) it brought the discomfort down from an 8 to a 2. I honestly don’t even know if any bike seat can go down to 0 so 2 is pretty great. Lastly I’ll finish this off with a recommendation. It does state that this seat is for a comfort bike and that I do not have. All the bike seats for my style of bike (hybrid) are small so I went with this one anyways. I did find I had to lower my seat to give it a slightly more “comfort” style and that did the job!

I’m pleased with the DAWAY C40 Comfortable Oversized bicycle seat. I’m using it on my Dahon mariner and it has been an improvement for my riding experience. I am pear shaped female of average size so needed bigger seat for my big backside.
