Hi, When we visited the factory near Ningbo, China what impressed us was how well organized and efficient they were. They are a major supplier to the Scandinavia countries - largest coffee consumption in the world (according to google). We saw how they make and finish each carafe and it was very impressive. They were one of only two factories that we found to use the furnace "Fire Toughening" process at the end by placing all carafes on a roller table that runs through a giant furnace, that is big as a house. The result is that a broken carafe in the d/w is not a usual event and many customers buy this carafe because it is better than average in surviving daily use.

Q: Is the carafe dishwasher safe? I'm mainly concerned about erasing the ounce marks which are very useful.

Macgyver has a good idea because if the glass is superheated in the d/w it's best to make sure it's not touching anything else. With over 6000 sold, we've heard it can happen that way ... if touching something else while superheated in the dishwasher. Thanks, the Crush Club team.

Q: Will this fit Bodum Chambord 34oz?

We have tried it ourselves with all around positive results and have measured both carafes and the results were identical millimeter to millimeter. While they are sized identically, the CCC Carafe is about 3 ounces heavier and we know it is fire hardened. Many Chambord 34oz users like better than the original carafe and most are delighted by this CCC carafe. Thanks for your question!

Q: Does this fit Bodum Chambord 34oz?

Customers (and our trials) indicate it fits the Chambord perfectly. It is NOT Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) by Bodum, but manufactured to be compatible with Bodum. If you own an Eileen or Brazil style, it's a tighter fit and I'd suggest washing it by hand. I hope that helps!
