**EIGHT MONTH FOLLOW UP**Scroll down for my original review when I first got it and used it several times. I've now had this steam tent for about eight months and have used it heavily — at least once a day. My opinion of the benefit and capabilities of this unit hasn't changed. The steam is still hot, it still makes me sweat, I still feel incredible after using it. I haven't abused it but I have used it a lot and now several areas are showing some wear.1. One of the structural pipes has totally wilted because of the heat. This happened slowly. I'm sure if I put that piece of PVC in a bathtub of hot water it would soften up so I could straighten it out but either way the structural integrity is probably compromised. It's still usable, but the tent sags on one side where this 36" piece is now 26" tall because of wilting.2. The bottom of the tent leaks. Water finds its way through anything, and some loosening stitches definitely won't contain it. It's not a major deal because I've actually started using it outside in my backyard, which is kind of nice. However, do NOT plan on using this on hardwood floors, carpet, or basically any other surface you don't want to get wet. You COULD put towels down but I wouldn't really consider that a good solution. You're just going to have sopping wet towels on the floor.3. The steam unit has a little hose, on the end of the hose is a plastic connector that attaches to the tent. That plastic connector, like the entire unit, really, is subject to a lot of heat and moisture (obviously) and has become brittle. I'm gentle with it but it's starting to crumble and it's really just a matter of time before it's crumbs and I'll have to get another unit (which I will) or jimmy-rig it in some way.Again, this is all with heavy use. And obviously if I use it all the time, I really like the effects of steam. So I'm not saying it's junk and not to buy it, I'm just saying to be realistic about heat and moisture and, over time, how they will affect plastic and polyester.I would look at this unit as a hygiene item like a toothbrush that's going to need to be replaced at some point, not a family heirloom that will still look new many years from now. And I will replace it, because I also view steam treatments as being as important as brushing my teeth.**ORIGINAL REVIEW**I love steam and sauna. I've always chosen my gym based on if they have steam and sauna. I've been to Banya 5 in Seattle and enjoyed the 220+ degree sauna there. If I had built-in units in my house, I'd be in them all the time.But, I don't have them and now my gym is at home, so I needed a way to have deep sweat-inducing heat treatments. That lead me to these units, and when I started doing my research, I was skeptical. The main concern I had was, "Will it get hot enough?" Before I ordered it, I was already thinking of getting a second steam unit so I could double them up, "just in case."Well friends, as someone who pushes heat therapy to the max, I'm here to tell you that this little unit satisfies. I've had it a few weeks now and am really happy with it so far.The overall experience...It gets hot in the tent. Whether you sit on the chair with your head poking out, or you're limber enough to get down in the tent, you will eventually get hot enough that you have to get out. "Well I sat in there for 50 minutes and it never got hot enough," is not something you will say. You'll be able to "sweat it all out," it will give you that "ultra clean" feeling you're looking for. I have no trouble getting my body temperature up a few degrees when I use this (thermometer verified) and sweating to exhaustion.The chair...The chair is functional but not really that comfortable. "Well it looks like a comfortable outdoor chair to me, just like the ones at REI!" Yeah, it does, doesn't it? But it's not. Take my word for it, it's a cheapie version of one of those chairs and it'll put uncomfortable pressure on your back and legs unless you put a couple thick towels over it -- which you'll want to do anyway, as well as on the floor of the tent, to soak up some of the water. Otherwise you will be sloshing around.The steam unit...The steam unit is just a plastic bucket with a ceramic heating element. It's very simple in its design. It works fine but I also wouldn't be surprised if it gave out eventually and needed to be replaced -- which I would. I am sold on having a steam tent in my house forever.It has a timer but no remote. Which means it blows steam until the timer stops. This is alright, but for long sessions, it would be nice to be able to easily stop/start the unit without having to get up, get out, and unplug it. I guess if you ran it through a smart device, or a clapper, you could get that feature.The tent...The tent has two components -- the tent material, and the plastic piping skeletal structure. The tent material is like a polyester and mostly waterproof. I have noticed a small amount of leaking around the bottom seams, but just a little. Again, you need to put a towel or two down on the floor of it to soak up the condensation (and probably the sweat). The quality is okay but, like the steam bucket, at some point after a lot of use, don't be surprised if it's time to replace it. The plastic piping is fine, I think I've noticed a little bit of flex and bend as a result of the heat.It is relatively easy to take apart and put in a box or something but, depending how often you're disassembling and reassembling, I could see that significantly speeding up the wear and tear. Leaving it always set up would be ideal, of course that depends on your space availability.You will need to wipe it down and position it for drying after you're done. Don't put it away wet or it'll get moldy.The inlet where you connect the steam unit to the tent is right on the back of the tent. It would be nice if it had an inlet on three of the four sides, or even all of them, to choose from. The back is the highest point and would be the most comfortable to position against a wall and lean against if you're sitting down in the tent, but since the steam is coming out, that's not possible unless you want to burn yourself.Usability....I'm 5'10, 200lbs. Size-wise, I would describe the tent as "just big enough" for me to sit on the floor in. It's basically just short/high enough that my head touches the top. It'd be nice if it was a couple inches taller or a square-cube shape (instead of being curved) but that's minor.Sitting down in the tent will require a modest level of limberness. If you have mobility issues that prevent you from going from sitting on the floor to standing without assistance or something to lean on, I wouldn't count on using it this way.Overall...In my opinion, a deep sweat is one of the best therapies for enhancing my well-being. I know that's "magic talk" to some people but it's just a must for me... and if you're similar, you know what I'm talking about. And you're considering this because you want a way to facilitate that. This will do that for you.

Only had it for a week but my initial thoughts. It heats up in 12-15. I set it for 30 and get 15 minutes of heat in. It gets hot. I am dripping sweat from my head and my skin it's red when I get out after 15. I let it heat up without the chair in it so put the chair in as I get in. It is super easy to get in and out of.I have been using it about an hour before bed and the last 3 nights I feel like I am getting used to it and I sleep amazing. Sometimes think would be nice to have my head in for my airways but I knew that going in. Uses less electricity as others so it was exactly what I hoped for. If anything changes will update.

This is a great buy for the money. This is as good as going to the spa and sitting in the steam room. However you can't stretch out. I am 5'3" and I'd like to stretch out for comfort. Timer is from 0-60 minutes you will sit up straight the whole time. Assembly is easy explained but the parts don't snap and stay in place, you connect and they come back out. So you will need another person to help hold parts in place. After a couple days of me using it the bar to get in and out of the tent fell off and it's not easily screwed back on. I use it daily and the chair does come with it. The chair is a $5 lawn chair so I'm sure it doesn't hold over 220 lbs. It also comes with a bag to pack away the cloth only but I'm sure once you assemble you won't want to go thru the trouble to assemble again. To make my dream session even better I do add 10 drops of my favorite essential oils to the water. That is the highlight of my session it makes my body relax and clears my sinuses. Overall I do really like this product. I just think the parts should snap and lock in place.

(Warning) The seat is definitely an issue. Others have commented on the fact that it is uncomfortable. In my experience, this is true. That can be fixed with a towel.I'm more than forty pounds lighter than the max weight limit listed (220 lbs.), and the chair collapsed on me after about 9 months of use. That ended up putting my very lower back right in front of the steam output. I've got a nice red painful area. Hopefully, it will be fine.The chair is made out of garbage materials. The thin plastic that holds it all together, after repeated exposure to heat, allowed a rivet to tear through. I should have just listened and never used that piece of junk.Why a 4? The rest of it works great. It's just a pvc frame with an insulated tent around it and a boiler.Over time, the friction joints loosen. It's no big deal to me. I've been using it for around nine months with 2-5 steams a week.I'd buy it again. The chair goes in the garbage immediately.

I've had this for several months and enjoy it. It gets hot and maintains the heat. The chair is comfortable and the arm holes are a gift for this time where you really feel the heat and need a slight relief.I noticed that the main zipper was splitting open after I had zipped it. I contacted customer service and they were great. They were very helpful and attentive. Durasage did a great job in hiring the right people in its customer service department. They went above and beyond to make certain they resolved the issue and made me happy.I'd definitely recommend this product.

It's a good sauna for a good price

Their chair causes bottom to tear, which results in significant leakage. Tore after first use. Called the provided customer service & no one has gotten back to me after several weeks

Don't understand all the bad reviews. Worked great for myself and my two little girls even tried it out. I guess pushing PVC pipe/fittings together and using a zipper correctly is too complicated for most people.

It gets hot fast as expected and it really gets your heart pumping. Does the job.But1 - No pocket on the left as it is shown on the picture. No branding on the chair either.2 - The tube from the steamer to the sauna is extremely short. If it could have at least 10 more centimeters it would make it much easier to work with.3 - There is a lever for entry and going out. It broke on first use. It's a screw with a tiny nut that if you put any weight onto (you will by sitting in the sauna) the nut passes in the screw hole and breaks the plastic.Item remains usable even without this lever thing.4 - The fill line in the steamer is very hard to see. It's almost invisible.All in all most issues are very minor. No dealbreakers but deffo some possible improvements.

Easy to set up took only 10 minutes. I've used it 3 times so far, super happy with it

It was tough making this work in the house I was so I worried about my floor if it wasn’t tile.

Was thinking of buying it from couple of months. Finally ordered it. And found it amazing. Not as good as the actual steam sauna. I can say 90% perfect, which is way better at this price. Felt amazing. Inner structure is not to rigid. It's little delicate.Definitely worth buy. Steamer is good to an hour with one fill. Chair is not too rigid.

Does the trick. Nothing fancy. If I get a year out of this ill be happy.TIPs:-drop a towel to cover the floor (helps in clean up)-start it up 20 mins before going in-light cool shower before using it / and after-drop towel on the seat before sitting and sweating on it-make sure dual steam spout is pointed sideways and not up towards seat-towel dry up everything after use to prevent moul. blow dry with fan or hair dryer if your ocd.-drink plenty of water before and after.-cold shower to close skin pours after.Sweating is great for health and detox.
