Long lovely pins. Needed to replace older aging out long pins no longer made.
Actually this company bought out the original ones I loved for years. But happy to have found a replacement. I do not know if metal gets weaker over the years or what but the balls are falling off more frequently than years ago and also tend to bend it seems more than used too. So I am constantly throwing pins away. I originally had 3 boxes of like 500 each pins per box I think it was. They came in white and black. And this could be quite handy and we sew a lot of outdoor and rough tough fabrics including upholstery fabrics too not just shear and delicates. So I also want and rely on steel pins to be magnet friendly as I use the magnet catchers and pin holders. Which if you drop a few pins on the floor just run your magnet over the floor and voila all pins without the debri and dust usually fly right back onto the magnet holder. Wonderful and love that invention. But when shopping for new long pins I ran into many that are not made of steel and not magnetic. WHO KNEW? I guess I was aware of that but since I had such a lovely run with the pins bought in the 70's I just hadn't paid much attention. Always assumed that sure 40 to 50 years later of course these originals would be available. NOT. So also wanted some of these longer pins to add to a YARN knitting bag making for a Yarn lady friend who has just started sewing again and though it's a yarn bag with grommets set to allow various yarns and projects to be worked on at the same time and kept safe from say her 4-7 live in pets at any given time it's going to have a few sewing goodies tucked into the bag for fun too. I will be re-ordering at least one to 2 more sets btw because when I say we make huge projects think tents and sleeping bags and covers for outdoor XL TWIN Day beds etc. Not to mention a 9 foot couch is in need of re-upholsterying again for the third time in 40 years. I was going to send to landfill but it's sat upon our upstairs balcony I decided the past few weeks during Covid jail time maybe just maybe why not order new foam and batting and fabric. Fabric arrived all 10 years just yesterday so I NEED PINS. The more the merrier. And yes I have fallen in love with those little fabric clips too all sizes of those. But nothing works better than long sturdy pins for the BIG and often heavy weight projects.

Love these pins.
I had a smaller box of these pins and liked how easy they were to grab and use so I decided to order a larger box. The pins are very sharp and the tops make them them easy to hold and use. I highly recommend these pins.

not the same
I bought these because the description says rust-proof but the package I received looks nothing like the image and does not say rust-proof. Perhaps Dritz is no longer making that claim? If so, amazon should change the image and description.

Mine rusted - and rusted quickly. I bought them ...
Mine rusted - and rusted quickly. I bought them based on the reviews that they did not rust. And I believe that those reviewed received pins that did not rust. However, the ones I received quickly rusted and ruined my bottle of glue.

For Sewing, these Dritz Pins with Huge Yellow Heads are GREAT!
I really like the huge pin heads in yellow, so you can see them and "get a grip" on them without needing long fingernails when it's time to remove the pins in front of the sewing machine needle. Can't be any better than this!

Factory Seconds?
Dritz are my "go-to" pins. I bought these because of the price....cheaper than everyone else. The old adage proves true - you get what you pay for. Half of these pins are blunt tipped. It's ridiculous! I toss them in the trash one after the next. They are different than the Dritz I've grown accustomed to aside from the square tip. The color of the ball tip is darker. I'm not sure what brand they are or if they're factory seconds but they aren't worth the money I paid.

Use with care
I like these because they are easy to pick up and use. What I dislike about them is that, when you pin a hem to iron it down for sewing, the colorful nickel-headed pin heads are prone to melt onto your fabric

Disppointed
The description said they were stainless steel but when they arrived, they weren't. I tried them in my glue bottle but they rusted. Had to reorder different ones.

Expect 20% to be dudds
Although these pins are nice and long they aren't particularly fine making it difficult to push them through multiple layers of fabric. Quite a few were dudds too, I threw about one fifth in the bin because the beads had detached from the pin or the pin was just plain blunt.

Me encantan, para todo tipo de tela.
Me gusto porque tienen filo, no estan chatos y sobre todo es para todo tipo de telas delgadas como gruesas y el color muy fácil de distinguir en cualquier prenda.
