A great item! It allows for simple plug and play extensions to your fiber network, while converting to POE, or LAN. It has full adjustment for link speeds if needed, vis dip switches, can't all for it to be easier than that.I used this to power a long run of about 300 meters or so for my gate cameras and access control system.I did this myself after getting a crazy quote of about $3000 to run and install this. I wound up doing in one day for about a tenth of the quote. If I can do it, do can you. Don't be a afraid of fiber, it's our future and this is a great way to get familiar with it.A very simple setup really helps for the first timer and that is exactly what this item allows!

I have been waiting for years for someone to come out with a fiber to PoE solution for a long time. When running cable for long distances fiber is the best way to go. Especially for PoE devices like cameras or WiFi access points. Ran a fiber cable about 1/2 mile from the switch and connected it up and it got a link, then connected up the access point and was getting full 1g bandwidth with my tests. this is the product you need for those extra long ethernet runs that copper ethernet will just not work or at best 10mb half duplex connection. this will give you full bandwidth where you need it!

Worked to get the camera up on a fiber run that was to long for copper needs an outlet near the camera so make sure you install that as well.
