Delicious
Don't hesitate, this is good stuff. We have a fair amount of Ethiopian food in Denver and this is just as good.

Awesome all around spice with layers of flavor
The only berbere we use! We love this brand and this spice blend is perfect for adding complex flavor as well as layered spiciness, works great in chili. My husband uses it on everything from eggs to beans. The quality is excellent. We have repurchased this several times. Its always the same and its always delicious. There are other berbere blends around but we like this one the best. By far.

Good, but too mild
The flavor is very good, but in the chili department it seems to have been blanded down for American tastes. It needs to be hotter. The same is true of their mitmita, which is much too mild. Perhaps Brundo could offer a 2 oz bottle or an 8 oz bag of African bird chilis for people who want to make their Ethiopian dishes even hotter. I just added some jalapeños to the sega wot I made today with this berbere, and when I do tere sega again with their mitmita I will make some stuffed jalapeños to go with it.

Amazing flavor!
My family loves Ethiopian cuisine, and we get to our local restaurant as often as possible. It’s a fabulous place but a bit of a drive. I thought I’d try my hand at tibs - my fave and it didn’t sound impossible but I needed help with the seasoning. I’ve experimented a little and this is by far my favorite blend of berbere. A little heat and a lot of flavor - a small amount goes a long way. Using this plus niter kibbeh (also from Brundo, highly recommend!) gave me tibs similar to what I’ve eaten in restaurants. I’ve since bought some other blends from Brundo and have yet to find one we don’t love.

Wonderfully spicy and savory
This stuff is marvelous! Don't be afraid to use it liberally. It is spicy, but more of a slow roll than an in your face kind of hot, and you keep wanting a bit more. Wonderfully and unusually savory. Finally got my other half to eat collard greens and okra by making a chicken stew with this spice mix.
